“Neat and Modern”

Lovely neat accommodation with everything we needed. Our host was very easy to deal with and happily assisted us when our plans changed. Merci !

I booked this apartment for the price of a normal hotel, this fact is important because when I stay in cheap accommodation I am ready to meet some lack of service, but when I pay the normal price I expect reasonable conditions. Unfortunately, the conditions I faced were not reasonable. 1) After I had paid for my stay, the check-out time was changed by the host without explanation, it wasn’t a significant change, but… 2) The instructions on how to reach the apartment, where to find the keys etc were only in French. Of course, I know how to use Google Translate, but it would have been more respectful to guests from abroad if the instructions had been in English as well. 3) According to leaving instructions before leaving I had to remove sheets from the bed, clean dishes, and take out the garbage (see the photo). Besides the fact that it is very strange to have such duties for the price I paid, I have doubts if someone is responsible for the cleanness and hygiene. If the host washes the dishes herself there is no sense in asking guests to do it, but if she doesn’t, then my health depends on the accuracy and conscientiousness of the previous guests. 4) Guests are provided with the host’s phone number, but it didn’t work, the only way to contact her was the booking.com message system which is not suitable for urgent questions. The apartment was small and incommodious, the bed was extremely narrow, the bed-clothes were very unpleasant, the sheet looked more like an undersheet and the blanket cover was like a bedspread. To switch the light on and off was a quest every time because the switchers were very “innovative”. I have never thought that it could be difficult to understand how to use a light switcher, but it can! The sound-proofing is absent. It is no matter what your plans are, you will wake up at 7 a.m., first because of bell ringing from the 4 different sources (I wonder what it could be in this small village), second because of a child running upstairs.

Great location in a nice small village. Restaurant just around the corner and an amazing coffee place close by! Must visit. Easy access to the appartment, informative hosts, well equipped, clean, pretty place and a very comfortable stay! Plus I could park my van for free, just 1 street away in a special parking area.
