Overview
Nestled by Wild River, these original wood tipis in St-Romain offer rustic lodging in a forest setting. Each tipi includes access to an outdoor cooking area. Frontenac National Park is 10 km away. Built by local craftsmen, each tipi at Aux Tipis de la Rivière Sauvage features rustic wood furnishings. A small dining area and kitchenware are provided. A shared outdoor bathroom is accessible to all guests. Barbecue facilities, a fireplace and table are supplied in the outdoor cooking area. Free Wi-Fi is available at reception only. La Rivière Sauvage Tipis also offers a storage room for luggage. On-site fishing in Rivière Sauvage is possible in season. Swimming and hiking are additional on-site summer activities. Snowshoes can be hired in winter. Cross-country skiing opportunities are available just 3 minutes’ walk away at Club de ski de fond Saint-Romain. The town of Lac-Mégantic is about 40 minutes’ drive from these tipis in the Eastern Townships.

I stayed in February, we had access to a BBQ, the Tipi was warm and comfortable I would highly recommend for people who are use to camping

“Loved the tipis and the contact with nature”
Amazing place, we loved stayed in the middle of the forest by the river, full contact with nature. The tipi is quite spacious, and we comfortably slept in 4 (two adults two kids). We enjoyed the bbq and fireplace. The common shower is very clean and hot. We didn’t have pillows nor blankets but the owner kindly lent us for a little extra money. Parc Frontenac nearby is very nice with lots of activities to do.
