The host Michel was really friendly, helpful and hardworking. Lots of great local recommendations. The boat trip to observe beavers in their natural habitat was the highlight!

Michel is a great host. He shares a lot about the area and the wildlife. Cabins are cosy and clean. You will eat among other travelers around a nice fire pit. Overall a great experience for all visitors.

Michel made the trip for us, very happy, helpful, competent host and gave excellent trip advice. He genuinely enjoyed hosting all of his guests. Our limited French, was helped by other guests and Michael's enthusiasm to share his love of the area.

“Such a wonderful place”

This is such a wonderful place. The owner Michel works all day to make everything comfortable for his guests. He is so very kind. We stayed here for 2 nights in one of his chalets. In the evening all sit together at the fire making barbecue and roasting marshmallows. Great experience. The beaver tour in the evening was also wonderful, we saw them right near us. Also we had the opportunity to go out on our own with his kayaks in the morning, simply great. I can only recommend the place. But stay more than one night! And you should speak a little French, but it is Quebec, so this is normal. We did not understand everything but Michel then consulted his mobile, so no.problem.

“Great place in the Mauricie region”

Great place next to the road and to the water and the wood. We had a good time and regretted that we only booked one night. Obviously you cannot expect your own bathroom but it was all clean and well maintained and it was great to sleep in a wooden cabin and to get to know other travelers and the owner and sit on the fireplace at night. We highly recommend this place! Thank you Michel!

Very nice Location, host was very friendly, the tour was really nice and he did a great job interacting with the guests.

The place is beautiful and the host, Michel, is extremely caring and warm. He lended us kayaks and at night he accompanied us to see stars and fireflies by boat, such a special experience :)

“Unique camping adventure by the river”

The campsite, run by Michel, was different in a down to earth way. Michel ensured a nice and cosy area, prepared the facilities for use and ensured that the fire was ready when we came. The camp is located right by the water across from the la Mauricie National Park. In the morning, we were provided with kayaks and guidance as to where to sail as well as plenty of good advice for where to go next and how to get there in the most scenic way. All in all a unique experience.

“A beautiful stay in nature”

It was a lovely stay in nature ! Michel was able to guide us for nice hikes, he also offered us to go kayaking departing from his terrain. The boat ride to see the beavers was lovely - he really has an eye to see them. The housing was very nice. We did one evening in a tipi and one evening in the 'le trappeur' chalet. The tipi is lovely, you can get away from the city - no electricity, just the noise of the stream and a camp fire. The chalet is also very nice - electricity inside and hot plates to cook. You still feel in the woods. It was overall a very nice stay. Would love to come back again.

Good location near road and river. You can use cayaks for free. Atmospheric place. Night in wigwam near creek. Fresh air. Friendly host. If you love comfort of hotel it's not the place for you.

“Great stay in Quebec”

We had a great stay here. The chalet was comfy and the whole camp is decorated really well. Michel is an exceptional host. He makes every effort for the guests to have a good time. Around the campfire and the communal outside kitchen there is a friendly atmosphere. The trip to see the castors was great fun as was the hiking area suggested by Michel. We will recommend this stop to friends very highly. It was the experience we wanted from Quebec.
