This is a lovely traditional family-run Logis where time appears to have stood still. Both owners are multi-lingual and speak fluent English, as do their children. Not only that, but they are extremely pleasant, friendly and welcoming. The old-fashioned atmosphere extends to the food, which is home-cooked, traditional local dishes, with one and sometimes two choices which change each day and are absolutely delicious. Breakfast was also superb, with a wide range of choices including pastries, fruit and a selection of cheeses from the Auvergne, including Cantal and of course Saint Nectaire. Our room was extremely comfortable and despite the bathroom being a little small, it had everything you needed and the shower was good. The hotel has a large car park just across the road, which is accessed from Rue Mandon.

Centrally located hotel with comfortable room with desk, and chairs. Welcoming host who cooked scrambled eggs and waffles for us, who helped us with our mobile phone and provided tourist information. Easy, dedicated hotel car parking across the road. Had dinner at local restaurant.

The location is splendid, below the St Nectaire church. The dinner is good, with local products.

Chose this hotel because it actually had a room available. St Nectaire was very full that weekend. It's an old-fashioned building which has clearly seen better days. About its most interesting feature was its overgrown car park across the road, which was home to a whole gang of cats who were clearly fed by someone as dishes were carefully placed under a little awning. A good walk or short drive downtown brings you to an excellent restaurant, Les Baladins, where a large crowd was dining in the open air. Lovely little town, famous for its cheese.
