The big plus of this lodging is the location on a beautiful lake, and the quiet nature surrounding the lodge and cabins. The bathroom was clean.

I really enjoyed my stay. My hope was to have a quick peaceful break somewhere in nature after a very hectic summer, and it was perfect for this purpose. It's a wonderful location - right by the lake, a convenient drive from Montreal, and the place is so nice and peaceful. I am very happy i stumbled upon it. The cottage i was in was simple but obviously very well kept and very clean. The kitchen had what i needed. Due to COVID, coming from a place that has been worse with the case count, I chose to have my food with me to minimize my interactions within the community as much as possible so i cant say anything about the food on premises. There are staff members (owners, i assumed) there for the day and they are very considerate of your space. They were very helpful but not overbearing (another thing i particularly liked as a solo traveller, because occasionally i stumble upon places where people tend to consider a solo traveller as someone in need of more attention / entertaining and that's not what i necessarily need travelling solo). There are boats and kayaks available (some for rent, some included, don't remember which ones exactly) so that's convenient. I saw people fishing, if that's your jam! I walked around the lake, it has pretty views from the top of the mountain on the other side, but don't make my mistake, bring proper hiking boots with you. I only brought running shoes with me and it was a bit too close for comfort since a part of the trail has some rather steep portions, it went ok after all but i'd say hiking boots would be put to a good use. The last piece of the road (the one where you turn from the highway to the location) is a little bit on the rugged side, so if you are really precious about your car - be warned about that (although i drove a sedan with relatively low clearance, if you are driving an SUV or such it wont be an issue i believe)
