Located in the centre of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, this hotel is just 950 metres from the A87 motorway and 220 metres from Saint Mary Magdalene Basilica. Aix-en-Provence is a 30-minute drive away. Rooms are bright and provide views of the town. “Disappointed not to be given room in L’Annexe as booked”
We were given a room in the Hotel de France not L’Annexe which has happened before and we’re not happy about it. Rooms in Annexe much bigger

“We found the annex a shabby addition to what seemed the much nicer Hotel de France.”
The annex is well located in the centre of the town, near both the main Hotel de France and local restaurants, and a few minutes walk from the Basilica of St Mary Magdalene. The bed was clean and comfortable. The ambience in the Hotel de France a minute's walk away and where a good buffet breakfast is served, was good.

“We’d stay again.”
Every time I book this hotel I’m transferred to the nearby Hotel de France on arrival, which is a good thing as it’s a better hotel. I’d say 3 star in general, tidy decor, clean, reasonable room etc. There’s a resto attached by you must book that independently. Decent value and totally central.

It was about 30 degrees in both of our rooms! It was totally impossible to sleep in that heat without any air at all. You really need to have air condition or something else that gives you the possibility to breathe

The position is good. Directly In the middle of the citycenter, you can reach everything by foot. The check-in and Breakfast is in an other hotel, just 100m away. Breakfast was good.
