Very helpful hosts made us feel welcome.

Our hosts provided a good breakfast - fresh croissant, a selection of jams, fresh baguette, cereal, yoghourt, coffee, fruit juice and a selection of meat slices.

We loved the special atmosphere of the historic building and warm welcome of the hosts! Having dinner together at the long table was certainly a highlight (recommendable as there are very limited options for dinner around, especially if you have no car). We arrived by bike and appreciated that there is space to park the bikes inside.

Warm, friendly, good location with a quirky twist

We loved this little gem. It was very quirky and also like an old fashioned museum, so I get it’s not to everyone’s taste, but we liked it because it was different. The owners were so lovely and welcoming. They made dinner and we all ate together at night, the food was home cooked and delicious. We really enjoyed getting to chat to them. The rooms are huge and the so are the bathrooms with nice powerful showers. We had a fresh continental breakfast in the morning before we left and again it was just perfect for us. very homely indeed. Would recommend.

Not worth the money. For breakfast we got given a cold croissant and had to pay an extra €10. Was probably the worst bed

some interesting details

The building itself is beautiful, it has a pontential, but need more maintance. There are some very cool old details, beautiful dining area with paintings, but something is just old...I understand it is hard to run such a big old building, but it has potential for 8-9 stars, which is not reached...

We really enjoyed our stay and received a very kind, warm welcome. Very different and quirky building which was comfortable and perfect as an overnight stay whilst cycling in the Ardeche. We also enjoyed the evening meal with delicious home cooked food and interesting conversation.

A unique experience if you can handle old buildings and shared bathrooms

Classic French style with many interesting artefacts and furniture collected over the years. Friendly staff. Good value for money.

Comfortable and memorable stay

Lovely interesting and quirky old building with an unusual history. We had a memorable, comfortable night and fun playing with the train track with our two year old who was over the moon about seeing it. Also enjoyed seeing the collection of antiques. A warm welcome on a dark wintery night and warm, comfortable stay. Many thanks

An eclectic hotel near the town with a big heart.

This place is very eclectic and has that old world charm. Lots of history here and you can spend a lot of time wandering around looking at the knick knacks that have been collected. It's located just outside the town with a big heart and friendly people. I would recommend it to anyone who wants something a little different than the norm. The bathrooms were big and equipped with a shower and tub and the rooms are setup well for big families.

Unique and worth a stay.

Such a unique place. It's not for everyone, it looks more like one of those stopover gite for hikers, everyone is having dinner together and the bathrooms are shared ! BUT! it's so quirky and the house is beautiful. Our bedroom was huge, beautifuly decorated. Lots of toys and games for the kids. The owner is amazing and lets the kids have fun and be kids.
