Owners were amazingly friendly and superbly accommodating. Went out of their way to help us in a difficult situation. It is situated on a beautiful river and close to all amenities. The bedroom, shower and accommodation was clean and the rustic French charm of yge deor was awesome. There was a word fired sauna and jacuzzi too. Just amazing. There is absurdly no doubt we will be back again. Exceptional value and amazing owners. Thank you so much for a beautiful uplifting stay ❤️

“Super gite on the edge of an authentic French town.”

The garden has fantastic views along the river and multiple seating options for dining and relaxing. The bed was super comfortable. The hosts were friendly.

“Riverside Gites.”

The location near to the town was pretty good and not busy with heavy traffic and was located beside the river with good parking across the road. Lynne gave us good places to visit including the Martyr village in Oradour. The breakfast was also very good and plentiful and delivered to the room by Lynne and our fish and chip meal in the restaurant was also excellent. Well done 👏 We also found an excellent Asian/Chinese restaurant buffet all you can eat for €17.90 (see photo).

What a brilliant building in a fantastic location. Host was excellent. Geese didn't attack me. Right on the river. Fantastic place to chill out.

A unique cluster of buildings adjacent to the river Charming, friendly and helpful hosts. Wood fired hot tub in the rain was a real bonus for two weary travellers

The gite is better than expected and has a lovely communal sitting, kitchen and dining area that you would share with the other guests. The English owners are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We paid for a continental breakfast which was yoghurt, coffee, amazing pain au chocolates, croissant , bread and jams. We didn't eat at the restaurant in the eve.

The unique, quirkiness of the property in a lovely setting providing everything that’s needed for a friendly relaxing stay.

The English owners are a font of local knowledge, lore, hints and tips. More like meeting long lost friends than a business transaction but hey, that is what most of us would want. The very nearby river had recently burst its banks for the first time in over 30 years and whilst causing some damage to various parts of the complex, this in no way detracted from the accommodation and or our stay. A short (uphill) walk in to the town which has numerous facilities which you would expect as well as French hypermarkets, German supermarkets and fast food restaurants a 5 minute drive away. We visited the Sunday plant market and regular car boot sale. As a gateway to the regional park, this is an ideal location to explore the area. Calm, quiet and peaceful with superb sundown views, what more could you wish for.
