A nice location. Everything was clean. Kitchen was well equipped.

Literally everything was perfect in this beautiful house :)! The small village is calm but there’s a little supermarket, a bakery, a butcher and even a bar that serves nice food (also vegetarian ✌🏼). The house is spacious but cozy and incredibly nice made with a lot of lovely details. Parking on the property, too, in case one comes by car. In the evening one may sit in the beautiful backyard and during the day cycling or hiking are really fun. Also only 5 minutes by bike there is a rental service for canoeing - super friendly person and simply great experience. The host also is super friendly and responsive and if it wasn’t booked already we’d have extended our stay. Many thanks Gretel for letting us stay in this beauty of a house - we‘ll come back for sure :)!

Lovely place, which has been done up very well and is beautifully decorated with everything you could need. We had a wonderful stay. Amazing value for money too. Would definitely return and recommend.

Chez Cherrie was like being in our own home. It was so welcoming and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a 5 nights stay. Very comfortable bed, and a great bathroom. Good cooking facilities, and a great terrace for a restful glass of wine after a full day of sightseeing in the Dordogne Valley. St Julien de Lampon is a gorgeous, peaceful little village.

“Fabulous gite in a beautiful little village.”

Fabulous property, which had everything you need for a stay in this lovely area. It was spotlessy clean, had comfortable beds, and 2 bathrooms with a small garden at the back of the property. It has sky TV with UK channels, and a log burner for cool evenings. There is a small bbq there, which made a lovely change. The hosts left us a lovely bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. The small village is tiny but has a bakery, butcher, bar, grocery , wine cave, and a launderette. Altogether a lovely little find and can highly recommend 👌 😊.

The gîte was lovely. When we arrived the gite was cosy and warm with the log burner burning away in the fireplace. The kitchen had everything needed for a self catering stay. The gîte has been renovated to a very high standard with under floor heating and is tastefully furnished throughout. For those visiting the area for the first time there is plenty of information provided by the hosts. Perhaps for people who don't read French maybe the information pack could be written in English. As we visited in mid January we did not use the garden, however for the warmer weather there was a table and chairs under a covered area. The gîte is in a beautiful village and is very quiet and peaceful. We have stayed in a lot of places in France and the Joli gite is by far the best - we didn't want to leave.
