“Quiet place in Dordogne”

Wonderful and extremely quiet location. Comfortable stay with all conveniences in this house. Clean and large swimming pool.

We stayed here for 3 nights last month to attend a family wedding at the nearby Chateau de Rouffillac (5 minutes drive away over the river), and our hosts Betty and Herman were there to greet us on arrival with the keys and show us round the property, which had great facilities and was incredibly clean. They absolutely made the trip for us as they were so friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us - they advised of the nearest shops within walking distance, and when the taxi due to take us to the wedding didn't turn up Herman kindly drove us so we weren't late. On the last day of our stay we wanted to go out for a meal in the local area, but everywhere was closed on a Monday, and after a wasted journey into Carlux with a hungry child, Betty and Herman even brought over a pan of food for us :)! Saint-Julien-de-Lampon itself is a beautiful little town with some lovely typical French shops, but in terms of spending more than a couple of days here there is not much within walking distance so would recommend hiring a car/bike and using this as a base.

The location was amazing. the accommodation is set in beautifully kept grounds. Loads of outdoor space and a secluded area with a BBQ and everything you need to have one. Very large swimming pool which was nice and warm. Inside of the accommodation was well laid out with plenty of space and well equipped.
