The staff were friendly and professional, which is what one would expect from a hotel of this level. We also enjoyed the restaurant's waterfront location, where breakfast is served. Dinner was good, and the chef's work left a positive impression. Unfortunately, that was where the positive aspects of our stay largely ended.

Loved the beach and Prickly Pear Island, the restaurant, the tennis courts and gym. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very helpful having a Butler - Michael was great for getting restaurant bookings and taxis, etc. Dougie on the beach was great. Loved Davy on the water taxi service back and forwards to Prickly Pear. Too many great staff to mention. Breakfast was good quality and kept us full until our evening meal. We ate out most evenings and there are some great restaurants within 30 minute taxi ride. The beach bar was nice and very reasonably priced at Happy Hour. Lovely relaxed resort with a great vibe.

My stay at Hodges Bay Resort in Antigua was unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome—warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The setting is simply breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters, a peaceful private beach, and gorgeous views everywhere you look. I especially loved lounging by the infinity pool, soaking in the serenity and island breeze. My room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with a balcony that offered the perfect spot for morning coffee and sunsets. The food was another highlight—fresh, flavorful, and served with a smile. Hodges Bay combines modern luxury with a relaxed Caribbean charm, and I left feeling truly recharged. I can’t wait to return.

What I loved most about Hodges Bay Resort & Spa was how truly phenomenal the entire experience was from start to finish. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning — beautifully designed with a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. But what really made the stay unforgettable was the exceptional staff. Every single team member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel so well cared for. The room service was also superb — timely, professional, and the food was always delicious and beautifully presented. Whether we were ordering breakfast in bed or a late-night snack, everything exceeded our expectations. I can’t recommend Hodges Bay enough — it’s the kind of place that makes you never want to leave.

The location is fantastic, close to St John’s and the airport, with its own private island. The staff were exceptionally polite and efficient and always remembered our names. In particular, Dougie, Tango, Jean-Marie and Jamarel all stood out. Dougie took me sailing on a few occasions - only 20 bucks for 30 mins - showing great courage and patience, I thought, given my basic skills. I got the holiday of a lifetime, thanks, in part, to Dougie. We were upgraded after there was an issue with our room: beachfront villa. The food on site is NOT poor or OK, as some reviews have stated, but well above average, and the breakfast, by European standards, is excellent. There are so many superb places to eat within half an hour that I would recommend not eating at the resort each evening, then moaning about it, but renting a car and going out. The hotel will help you rent a car.
