My stay at Gîte BIDEAN provided a thoroughly reassuring experience, distinguished primarily by the staff's exemplary commitment to hospitality. The personnel demonstrated a commendable level of engagement; their proactive dissemination of logistical information proved immensely valuable as I prepared for the journey. Furthermore, their attentiveness to practical guest needs was highly evident. When I realized I had neglected to bring a towel, the staff immediately remedied the oversight with quiet efficiency, maintaining a consistently supportive and accommodating demeanor throughout my stay.

Everything was excellent. The host, Joe, is such a nice and helpful person and for my first stay ever in a hostel, he was the best! Everything was clean, from dormitories to bathrooms and halls. I truly recommend it.

Ideally located on the main street of St Jean Pied de Port near all restaurants and amenities. It is the starting point of the Camino Frances. The host Joe was very friendly and extremely helpful guy. The albergue was quiet, bed comfy with own electrical light and power point, wifi. Decor fab. Well laid out. Loved it. We opted for breakfast and it was extremely well presented. There was plently. Joe invited us to take some bread and fruit for later snack. Super alberque. Would definitely stay again.

It has a few single beds converted from bunk beds, with curtain, so you have your privacy. Joe has been very helpful and even explained to me about the walk which the pilgrim office didn’t fulfil well.

“Great start to the Camino”

It was such a nice start to stay here on the Camino. The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very tasty too. I loved that the beds were individual and well-spaced. Plus proper sheets!

Wonderful starting point for your Camino. The owner and staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful with information. Beds are comfortable, space to air out any wet clothes in the basement and super close to the pilgrim office and shops if you need to pick up anything.

The location was perfect for the town and the start of the Camino. Joe and Pasqual were so helpful and couldn't do enough for you. They offered very sound advice to ensure my safety as a lone walker. I would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely old French building, beds were ok. Facilities alright for start of the camino. Evening meal was nice, Joe was very knowledgeable explaining where to get camino passport from etc...

Host was welcoming, helpful and interesting. Breakfast was very good, a great place to start the Camino Frances.
