“A great location in rooms with character and personality. A great choice when staying in Saint Jean”
The perfect location in Saint Jean about halfway up the main pilgrim road. The staff also run the nextdoor cafe and were happy to let us store our backpacks after checkout while we explored the town before catching a train to Bayonne, and were to access our gear and leave bags of souvenirs during that time. I managed to see into a number of other rooms, and all are different, but well designed, beautifully decorated and full of personality.

“A true gem on the Camino — pure perfection”
What did you like? Absolutely beautiful place — without question the most stunning I’ve stayed at on the Camino. Every corner is filled with thoughtful details, creating a warm and peaceful atmosphere. The owner is genuinely wonderful and welcoming, and you can tell she pours her heart into this place. It feels more like a home than a hotel — truly five-star in every way.

Right in the heart of Pied but so peaceful, a lot of thought has gone into this boutique hotel, the whole place was amazing, the hostess wonderful, bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Out the front door the next morning and on the Camino in 5 minutes. Highly recommended.

“Perfectly adequate for our final night on the via Podiensis”
Great location central old St Jean pied de port. Access instructions clear and easy. Room was clean and comfortable and nicely furnished. Small bathroom. There was air conditioning available. The room was quiet as it was not on the street side.

“Perfect”
We were able to leave our luggage in the Maison Bernat as we arrived at 11am. Although not particularly present when we arrived after breakfast Marjory showed us her beautiful garden and was very friendly. The decor was very tasteful and clean. Exceptionally comfortable. I would definitely recommend . We hadn’t reserved breakfast but Marjory was fine about accommodating us
