Overview
Set in the countryside of Courcelles, 2 km from the medieval market town of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, this guesthouse offers a heated outdoor swimming pool and rooms with private entrances in a former bread oven house. Guests are free to relax on the sun terrace. Guest rooms at Le Four à Pain are elegantly decorated and feature original stone walls and wooden beams. They are each equipped with a TV, a kettle and free WiFi. Some rooms offer a patio with access to the garden. Breakfast at this guesthouse includes fresh orange juice and pastries and can be served on the terrace or in the dining room. Evening meals offering regional cuisine can be provided upon request. There is a completely equipped shared kitchen that is separate from the main house and was recently renovated in 2020, so visitors can rest assured that they will have a place to cook. Swimming pool that is heated. When the weather is nice, guests are invited to relax on the sun terrace equipped with sun loungers or enjoy a walk along the River Boutonne, located 200 metres from the guesthouse. Exit 34 of the A10 motorway is just a 5-minute drive away.

“Lovely B&B with charming hosts”
Nice B&B with lots of facilities (e.g. shared kitchen, swimming pool, fitness, petanque game, etc.). Upon arrival Karen warmly welcomed us, showed us around and explained about the practicalities of our stay. Grant is a very pleasant person to talk to and during breakfast he provided us with interesting and nice things to do in the surroundings of their B&B.

Wonderful welcome by the owners of this beautiful property, who are very friendly and informative. Our bedroom was excellent, clean well set up and with great views over the gardens. Wonderful and generous breakfasts are served either in a lovely dining room or if the weather permits, outside in the courtyard (which we did during our stay). The swimming pool and area is absolutely amazing. There is a gym guests can use, games room and of course a boule court! There is even a really well set up kitchen that guests can use as well as a superb bbq and seating area in the gardens. The village is a really pleasant place to stroll around, perfectly tranquil. The close by town of St Jean D'Angely is well worth a visit with great restaurants and markets.

“We expected more for our money spent”
A very nice looking place, very close to the A10 but still very quiet. A kitchen with refridgerator is available, but unfortunately not really a place to sit inside (the weather was not that great when we were around).
