“Frustrating at first, but good after that”

Lovely cottage and nice hosts

Olivier and Evelyne were very nice hosts during our short stay. Wish it could be longer to explore the surroundings a bit more.

Cottage des Mézières was perfect! The single room was clean and comfortable, as was the large bathroom. Oliver prepared breakfast for me, his own jams were a real highlight. I liked the location, not being far from Granville, and it was nice and quiet. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

We had an excellent, relaxing stay. We enjoyed the comfortable beds, clean and modern accommodation and the lovely hosts. Would definitely recommend to anyone seeking a quiet location surrounded by nature.

We loved the building, the decor, the rural location and the beautiful garden. The hosts were excellent - we arrived around 5pm and they very kindly recommended and booked a local restaurant for us (also a fantastic meal).

Homemade jam for breakfast! Very clean, authentic and warm place, we are happy to come again!

“Modern apartment in a beautiful house perfect for that weekend away.”

Beautifully laid out apartment with seperate children's sleeping area, private entrance and parking, delicious breakfast with homemade jams. Much of the garden area we did not use but we could have done if we had stayed longer. Our host was always there to answer any questions I had and even, when we arrived earlier than suggested, the room was ready for us. The recommended option for our evening meal worked a treat and was only a 10min walk from the apartment.

Wonderful room (super comfy bed, great shower, lovely ornate wardrobe) in a beautiful house in a peaceful setting near the Havre Lessay. Good breakfast and exceptional value all round. Friendly hosts.

I loved the rural environment - it was of course very quiet and peaceful. Easy parking in front of the house. A bit far from anything, but it was easy to reach with a car, and it was perfect for a one-day stopover when traveling through the country. The room was very small, but perfectly fine for a single traveler. I would certainly stay here again.

“Lovely overnight stay before onward travel”

Our family was looking for a stop over before travelling back to the UK. This was the perfect little accommodation with easy access into the village, parking available onsite, breakfast included, and very friendly hosts. Huge bathroom and generally a lovely cottagey feel but spacious interior.

Friendly hosts, who spoke english which was a bonus. Good breakfast.

My hosts gave me a very warm and and engaged with me in informed conversation, in spite of having only a little English. The host was a keen biker like myself.

“Cycle friendly accommodation in quiet location”

Very comfortable accommodation in a rural setting not far from the centre of the village. We were on a cycling holiday so great to find excellent cycle storage. Rooms are very comfortable. As there was nowhere to dine in the village that evening our hosts kindly warmed the pizzas we bought from the local grocery store. Good plentiful French breakfast of bread, jam , brioche and yoghurt.

“Quiet and relaxed”

Lovely nights stay at the chambre d’hote. The hosts were charming and looked after our cycles in their garage. In the evening we cycled to the beach and on return had pizza at the local Chez Maria, definitely recommended. Breakfast was a communal affair with the other guests, where we could practice our rudimentary French.

Excellent hosts who went over & above with their hospitality even providing plates & crockery to eat our evening picnic tea!

Cottage des Mézières in Normandy is a delightful and tranquil retreat. The warm and attentive hosts made us feel at home right upon arrival. Their warm and welcoming nature was evident. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was enjoyable, offering very helpful recommendations and attending to any requests with the utmost care (such as providing gluten-free options for the – excellent – breakfast). From this great site, exploring the enchanting region of Normandy was easy. Highly recommended for those seeking peace and beauty in the French countryside.
