“Outstanding hospitality-one of the best places we have stayed”

Finding the property was easy and we parked to the rear of the property. One bit of advice-wear sensible shoes as it was raining and we walked through a small path in the wood. Our room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed including a kettle and some drinks (unusual in France and gratefully received). The bed was large and very comfortable-we had an excellent sleep as there are blackout blinds plus no exterior noise. The shower was roomy and plenty of pressure. Outside was a lovely little wooden balcony where you were surrounded by nature. Frederick our host could not have been kinder and he was a brilliant host. Breakfast, dinner and wine were really good. We want to visit again in the Spring. And I must mention the two donkeys-sisters who were rescued but now live happily in the woods.

Everything. This is the best place that I have ever stayed in. The rooms are amazing, the location is fantastic, the view is breathtaking and the food and people are amazing.

Very nice and convenient hotel in the calm countryside. An ideal place to get rest from busy town life. It was our 2nd stay in this place and we hope to be back one day again! The room is sparkling clean, the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty and prepared from local ingredients.

“A treasure nestled in the hills”

What a find! This place is a real treasure. The rooms are beautifully designed and furnished, the staff is so welcoming. We loved the location between the gorges du tarn and aubrac. There are walking trails direct from the property. The food was delicious and prepared with local products. If you have the chance come to stay in this magical place. We hope to come back again someday as our only regret was too short a stay. As a bonus, our dog was welcomed without an extra charge!

“Peaceful, relaxing, amazing food and beautiful rooms”

This place is truly unique and amazing. Room is extremely spacious. You can tell a lot of thought has been put into the decoration. Atmosphere was very peaceful overall. Mattress and pillows were super comfortable. They helped with a good night rest after a few long days of driving. Our room had a deck where we could sit back, enjoy the views and our dog could play. We took our dog on a few walks within and outside of the property, you are treated to beautiful scenery. We had dinner there and it felt very intimate. We were the only guests staying that night! Food was outstanding and same with breakfast. Plentiful, all homemade! I felt we rushed a little bit and would have spent an extra day, but this is a place I am saving for our future trips. There seemed lots of things to see and do in the area, and the location is close enough to the motorway so you don't feel you have to leave your route, but high up in the mountain that you don't see or hear any traffic. We had one of the best nights' sleep in our driving trip. Even our dog was avoiding getting back in the car on the day we left. A small thing is we ended up paying in cash as signal is not the best and the machine was having issues with our card (worth knowing so you don't have to go find and ATM).

A beautiful location enhanced by this sensitive and superbly renovated Hamlet. Warm welcome from staff, crystal clear star covered sky and crisp snow underfoot. Good food and wine for dinner. Beautiful room and bathroom, lovely and warm. After a great night's sleep woke to stunning views and a tremendous breakfast. Excellent.
