“Excellent room, service and unusual hotel”

The location and the style of the hotel

When you arrive you are in taken in by the project. This is something above what you would expect of a hotel. The feel, the history and atmosphere. Things beautifully modernised whilst maintaining the simple grandeur of a seminary. All staff quite charming and food Exceptional. I could go on but this was a great experience!!

The entire building is magnificent although currently undergoing work. Dinner was excellent and amazing value for money. The breakfast was also very good.

The location is excellent and it is an old building with lots of potential. The restaurant is very good, but this is a separate entity and well managed.

Comfortable renovated room with magnificent countryside views. Meal in restaurant with historic setting in the seminary refectory was delicious. Friendly staff. It was interesting to overnight in Saint Flour as we usually by-pass the town on the autoroute.

Clean, quiet lively views

A very pleasant stay. The hotel exuded history and atmosphere. The information panels were fascinating. The setting and views of the surrounding countryside were charming.

The facilities in our room were very good, and we enjoyed a superb Sunday lunch in the restaurant with first rate service.

We have stayed several times at the Abbey and enjoyed the visit. The new bathrooms are a great improvement especially after a long days travel. The room was tidy and the beds clean and comfortable. A great location.

“It was absolutely wonderful”

The building is so unusual and beautiful, very atmospheric, and although a little more upgrading is needed in places (eg. walls of the main stone staircase) this is clearly in progress. Our room was wonderful - spacious, well equipped, everything about it was top quality and very stylish. And it had amazing views! The restaurant is delightful and our dinner was first class. There is clearly a really good chef, and the waiting staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgable.
