Overview
Located at the foot of the Ispéguy pass, this typical Basque style hotel offers an outdoor pool and elegant rooms either overlooking the garden, the river or the Pyrennes mountains. Some of the rooms at the Hotel Arcé also feature a balcony. They are all equipped with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi access is available in the entire Hotel Arcé. In the morning, guests can choose from a continental and a buffet breakfast. The Arcé’s restaurant provides traditional cuisine from the Basque Country, prepared with fresh local produce. Meals can be served on the covered terrace, by the river. Hotel Arcé also features a lounge living room. Guests are invited to relax on deckchairs by the pool or enjoy a game of tennis. The hotel is located near the charming villages of Ascain, Esplette and Ainhoaat. Saint-Jean-Pied de Port is less than an hour drive away and free private parking is possible on site.

Breakfast was fabulous, generous. Staff helpful, super clean, the dinner was delicious. Chef caught us a trout and cooked it perfectly. Loved the artwork. Nice pool area.

It’s a wonderful hotel on the edge of the river. You can hear the river all night. This is the second time that we have stayed at Hotel Arcé, and we look forward to returning again.

“we habitually return here every year or so......”
we have stayed at the Arcé several times over the years. It keeps its standards high though is a little old fashioned by today's standards. The breakfast and dining is very high class; though this time the evening dinner menu didn't change during our stay which was a little disappointing.

The location was absolutely stunning. Even with some rain, it was so beautiful and relaxing. Very safe feeling, relaxed, decent people and homely. The river and facilities were great. I wish we had the energy and time to play Padel. Great large free car park.

The continental buffet breakfast had a plentiful and varied selection of local products, it was very tasty. The Dinner menu was also excellent with a variety of local meats and fish. Overall the food was excellent.
