Set just off the A75 motorway, this 3-star hotel is ideally located halfway between Clermont-Ferrand and Montpellier. Its restaurant is designed as an indoor garden and serves organic dishes. The property told us they were full and had transferred us to a hotel 15 km where we had no option but to accept. The restaurant was not our style at all and was very expensive , we had reserved Les Portes d Apcher partly because the restaurant was reasonable, rustic and reflected our taste while on holiday . I resent being forced into a supposedly fine dining experience with below average quality except for dessert which was excellent.

“Excellent service”
They were very lovely and helpful when we was stranded there and even gave us a lift down to the local train station and let us cook our food we brought not from the hotel there. Brilliant people

This hotel was in a beautiful location and just off the motorway, the staff were really nice and even though my French is very rusty and the young lady on reception/restaurant spoke very little English we managed to get through the evening with very little problems,
