Overview
This unique, nature retreat overlooks the historic River Kwai and Hintok Mountain. Nestled in a Hellfire Pass clearing, Hintok River Camp offers accommodation in luxurious canvas tents with free WiFi. It boasts a natural spring-water pool and daily campfires. Tents at Camp Hintok River are spacious and furnished with luxurious wooden furniture. All rooms have en suite bathrooms including a hot shower, a hair dryer and free toiletries. They also feature outdoor showers with hot water, in-room air-conditioning and private verandas. Complimentary bottled waters are provided. The restaurant and bar is set amongst tropical trees. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves a varied menu, while barbecue is arranged every evening. Guests can relax with Thai massage services or unwind at the lounging area overlooking the river. Canoeing trips, Hellfire Pass trekking, Bamboo rafting as well as Mountain biking can also be organised by the hotel staff.

“Lovely part of Thailand”
Camp is beautiful, kept very clean by lots of staff walking around sweeping and cleaning all day. The pool is stunning, so clean and stunning views. Nice area to lounge out on the water. So many options for dinner, lots of lovely food and a different Thai dessert to try each night. Free bikes to take out, great to cycle round and see the local villages, little shops along the way too to buy snacks and drinks.

The tents were spacious and clean, the views over the river were spectacular. The dinner bbq was very good, freshly prepared food and didn’t feel rushed or cramped.

Staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The setting is incredible as is the history of the site. Highly recommend visiting the Hellfire Pass Interactive centre on the hill above the site. Using the free bicycles to explore the local area and villages is also a must. Stunning views to sit and watch the sunset and beautiful Thai massage offerings. The setting is just so unique and in keeping with the history of events that took place here during the second world war.
