“Nice location, aurora view, amazing programs”
The Hotel is in the middle of the forest. Perfect location. The food was amazing and huge choice. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I stayed in the aurora cabin and I had a chance to see the aurora from my bed. The Hotel offered many activities and they provided the necessary equipment. I enjoyed so much the programs.

We had a wonderful stay at Wilderness Hotel Muotka and would absolutely recommend it. Our room was spacious and beautifully designed, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of activities. The welcome we received was warm, and throughout our stay the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. One of the highlights for us was the food. The meals were delicious, and we really appreciated how accommodating the kitchen was with vegan options. The chef kindly adapted dishes of our choice into vegan versions, which made dining such a pleasure and completely stress-free. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights directly from our cabin — an unforgettable experience! This hotel made our trip truly special.

The hotel is ideally situated to enjoy winter activities and of course see the northern lights. Its location, away from the main road, is great for a nature experience.

“Truly amazing location, highly recommend staying here!!”
Really amazing place surrounded by untouched wilderness - so grateful to have spent 4 beautiful days here. The sauna was great- super clean and heats up fast; the bathroom was nice and big. We didn’t book many activities upfront (we should have!) but did go snowshoeing - recommend you book with the hotel because then you can keep the snow clothes for the days you’re there. We got a transfer from the airport and to our bus stop (to Rovaniemi), on time and convenient! We did half-board and the buffet for breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Hot tip- skibus runs once a day at 10.10am from there so if you want to go into Saariselka, it passes by.

The place itself is amazing! The welcoming, the hotel & the staff, everything was great ! The food is delicious. We love the activities and the staff was really nice, helpful and funny. A big thank you to Jose & Miguel and the lady of snowmobiling ! We'll be back !

We absolutely loved this place! We even saw the Northern Lights right at the doorstep — such a magical moment. There’s also a sauna room inside the accommodation, which made the stay even better. The breakfast had plenty of choices too, really impressive. Overall, a very worth-it stay. We truly loved it.

“Magical winter wonderland!”
We loved our stay in the igloo! The sauna was such a nice addition. Great selection for breakfast and a lovely forest view. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay (we booked the aurora cabin), comfy bed, beautiful night view, the sauna after a long day outdoors was appreciated, very good breakfast and dinner and very nice staff, would recommend !

“Beautiful stay with nice aurora view”
Very pretty rooms, and nice to have private bathroom and sauna in the igloo. The staff was very nice and helped with maintenance of the room and issues with the sauna. Isolated area with great view of the auroras and nice reindeer dinner
