Please note that the following reflects the personal experience and feelings of my husband and myself. We spent one night at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort - Igloos and Chalets for 1,267 Euros, and I am honestly relieved it was only for one night. The space was extremely cramped, and since there is no partition between the toilet and the bedroom, odors drift throughout the entire igloo. Furthermore, the ceilings are incredibly low; the passageway is so low that I kept hitting my head, which resulted in a bloody nose and bruises. The bedding and curtains felt very cheap with a terrible color scheme; there was absolutely no visual enjoyment. Although it’s a double room, it is only suitable for one person. Additionally, you can clearly see into other rooms from inside, and the door was so difficult to lock that we felt very insecure. To us, the overall visual of the igloo area resembled a cemetery in Eastern culture. Combined with the white and gold decor, it felt like being a corpse. This was the worst night of our Finland trip and completely destroyed my dream of glass igloos. However, I must praise the staff and shuttle drivers—their enthusiasm was the only thing that kept us going.

We were able to watch the Northern Lights from inside the igloo it was an incredible experience. The igloo was beautiful. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The food was delicious. The resort is very large, offers many different activities, and is of very high quality. We were very satisfied with everything and would love to come back again.

Rooms and Location

We loved our stay in the igloos. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights three times during our stay — including once from inside our igloo. The private sauna and shower were excellent, everything was very clean, and the views from the igloo were stunning both day and night. A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience in Lapland, Finland. Highly recommended and absolutely worth the money.

Location is good, facilities well maintained we stayed in glass igloo at West Village which was good,staff was very helpful and attentive.

“Unique and memorable stay”

The property is unique and well managed. Staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If you are tall then mind your head in the igloo hehe. Food options for vegetarian are limited. For meat eaters, its heaven. Alarms will ring at night to inform you if aurora is visible

the log hut in east village was great, good distance from the next log hut - so you have your privacy. Food was good, and the staff was helpful. no complaints at all.

The location and amenities on park are amazing. Very convenient bus shuttle service to east village. Half board was included with ours which was helpful but food was a bit hit and miss. Drinks were really nice but an additional staff. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Good English was spoken. I really liked the sauna was in the room.
