Located a 15-minute drive from central Saariselkä, this hotel features rooms with mountain views of Kiilopää or Ahopää. It offers free sauna access and a relaxation room with a library and fireplace. Cozy and charming cabin with basic but functional furnishings. Baby cot provided, which was very much appreciated. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Generally good cleanliness and a vacuum cleaner in the cabin (a small but brilliant detail when travelling with a baby). Private sauna was excellent and a real highlight — jumping into the snow afterwards is highly recommended. Very convenient on‑site facilities: Two excellent restaurants in the reception building. One offers simple lunches (usually two soups and a generous salad buffet for €15.50 per person). The second opens in the afternoon with à la carte dishes and cocktails — the reindeer fillet was fantastic. Equipment rental shop in the same building with friendly staff and reasonable prices. Plenty of cross‑country ski pistes and winter hiking trails starting directly from the area.

“Perfect for our needs before a 5-night wilderness trip.”
Obviously v convenient for the Fell Centre & start of our ski trip. Clean but basic room. Evening meal buffet was v good (French chef v friendly helpful) Breakfast was fine.

Location amazing. So close to nature - so convenient for ski and walking tracks. Very peaceful. Much nicer than staying in Saariselkä. Good little kitchen with induction hob and dishwasher.

It was a great location right next to Kiilopää national park for skiing and aurora hunting. The scenery was very beautiful! The room was clean and nice, and th food at the nearby restaurant was great as well.

“Worth a short stay for the location”
A charming, authentic log cabin featuring a spacious and cozy sauna, located within walking distance of Kiilopää Fell. The entryway includes a drying cabinet, and the living area is enhanced by a fireplace. The location is beautiful, and we very much enjoyed the outdoor opportunities it offers.
