Overview
Amid the mountains and waterfalls of Aust-Agder, Sølvgarden Hotel is quietly situated in the renowned Setesdal Valley. It offers an on-site gift shop. Located in the village of Rysstad, Sølvgarden Hotel’s accommodation consists of bright rooms with private bathrooms and flat-screen TVs. Spread over 2 buildings, some of the rooms feature free WiFi. Breakfast is served each morning in the spacious hotel restaurant. Open daily, it also serves traditional Norwegian cuisine made from fresh local produce for lunch and dinner. Guests can find skiing slopes a 10-minute drive away at Brokke Alpinsenter, while the terrain around Rysstad has many routes for hiking and mountain biking. Other area activities include fishing, swimming and kayaking in the Otra River, along with rock-climbing in Brokke, just 6 km away. Kristiansand and Kjevik Airport are a 2-hour drive away, while the small town of Evje is 80km to the south, with the Setesdal Mineral Park and Trollaktiv bike park.

Absolutely everything. The accommodation was brilliant. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.the location was perfect for our road trip. Would definitely recommend. Thnak you for a lovely stay.

“Really nice hotel close to Lysebotn”
Super nice hotel. Big fancy room with a balcony. The food in the restaurant was really nice: we had pizza and it was gigantic, split into two and it was still too much - but soooo good! Breakfast had everything we wanted, and it all tasted good.

This is a really nice hotel with kindly and helpful staff. My single room (202) was of good size, as was the en-suite, I chose a room with a balcony which opened up the room and gave me a lovely outlook and view. The SMART TV is always appreciated as I can access and watch Netflix in my own language - as a solo traveller this is always appreciated as it provides a decent night's entertainment. Wi-fi signal was good for internet access. The breakfast choice was good with very tasty fresh food, bread and coffee...
