Very nice place ...

Very kind and helpful staff! The little wooden house we stay was very cozy and comfortable!! The location and the view was breathtaking and the food from the restaurant was delicious! We hope we could go back one day!

“Poor customer service and old, outdated cottages with poor facilities!”

I do not recommend this accommodation, I have no idea how it has an average review score of 8.5. The customer service was very poor. After booking a one bedroom cottage and upon check-in I was told I had to pay more than 25 pounds extra just to rent sheets and towels for 2 adults. This was in fact hidden in the fine print so it is what it is. Then upon check-out I was asked by the receptionist if I cleaned the cabin and if not would be charged an extra 40 pound! I stated this was not on the booking reference and after reading the property policy it is also not stated anywhere, nor was I informed of this upon check-in. I asked her to show me where it stated this and after several minutes of back and forth she was unable to do so. She just told me this is Norway and this was normal. Regardless of what is 'normal' this should be made clear on their property policy and also the booking.com listing. The cottage was also old, outdated and the kitchen lacks basic equipment such as a kettle and toaster. There is no where whatsoever in the shower for toiletries so they have to go on the floor. The bedroom curtains don't stop any light coming thru. This was by far the worst value accommodation we had in Norway. Look elsewhere!

Idyllic location within a quiet campsite at a river bank, in a quiet village surrounded by superb countryside. The cottage itself was relatively small, but well organised, clean and fully equipped for a self-catering stay.

Nice surroundings. Cottage was fully equipped, little bit smaller, but for few nights no problem. We also ordered a breakfast, which was really delicious.

Our cabin was spacious and clean, with a pleasant sitting-out area. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom worked well. The surrounding scenery is spectacular.

Really lovely riverside hotel and campsite with cottages just a few minutes walk from the supermarket and fuel station. It was perfectly placed for our needs. The cottage we stayed in had a well appointed kitchen with plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans and utensils. The bathroom had a hairdryer and we paid extra for linens and towels. There are on site washing machines and tumble dryers (for a small additional charge). These were clean and easy to use. Everything was spacious and comfortable and electrical items worked and it was so peaceful during the day and at night. The hotel restaurant looked pretty good although we didn’t eat there. the staff were super helpful and friendly.
