“Lovely hosts and incredibly good breakfast!”

Lovely hosts, clean and spacious rooms, wonderful breakfast (the best we have had in 3 weeks in Sri Lanka). We really enjoyed our short stay.

“Beyond wonderful!”

Wow what a brilliant stay with the most warm hearted family. We have visited Sri Lanka many times, stayed in so many different accommodations, and this is up there with the best! Lakmini and MG welcomed us into their lovely home with open arms. Having walked the short but hot distance from the bus stop, we were greeted with ice cold lime juice and big smiles. The room was huge, the pillows / bed one of the comfiest we've ever experienced here, and it was spotlessly clean. We were lucky to have the bathroom to ourselves as no other guests were staying. There is a huge wrap around balcony with viewing platform over the garden which we enjoyed relaxing on and spotting birds and wildlife. We were encouraged to walk to a waterfall nearby and had a great time splashing in the water. This place makes a fantastic, tranquil, and nature filled stop whichever direction you are travelling in. I would 100% recommend you make a stop here. The biggest reward is getting to spend time with Lakmini and MG...two of the most kind and caring people you will get to meet. They even harvested a fresh young coconut for us to drink before we left. Please opt to have dinner with them. Like everything else, they put so much love into what they produce so the food is out of this world good (and absolutely huge). We were sad to leave and will absolutely visit again when we return to Sri Lanka. They say renting rooms is not a business, but a hobby for them. Their passion shows in all that they do. We had a truly wonderful stay with this family, and everything was just perfect. It was an extraordinary local experience that allowed us to really connect with the place and the people. We learned how they cook traditional dishes, shared a delicious dinner together, and spent the evening talking and exchanging stories. It felt like a complete and genuine cultural immersion, something you rarely find while traveling. The area itself is beautiful and still untouched by mass tourism, which made the experience even more special and meaningful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable local experience.

The host and the ambiance.

Monti (who handles the bookings and communications), is reliable, easy to talk to and always available to answer any questions. Even after I left the homestay he would make sure i was doing well in Sri lanka! Lakmini and MG (the parents who live in the homestay and are the hosts) were warm, accommodating, friendly. I felt right at home, like I was visiting relatives. The meals were delicious and local cuisines, (i love spicey food so enjoyed this however if you don't like spice, it can be adapted for you!). There is a lot to learn from these hosts: growing many different plants, making and selling their own spices, offering cooking classes if you're interested and enjoying their beautiful home. The room was spacious, lots of natural light, airy and well equipped with a large fan for warmer nights. Will definitely return with my mum on my next trip to Sri Lanka!! As a solo female traveller, it was a great place to stay and would 10/10 recommend for solo travellers but also any kind of tourist. Thank you!

Lakini and MG were excellent hosts, who both spoke good english. We felt us very taken care of and we felt the love they had for their house and family. Lovely, safe stay. Than you, Lakini and MG!

The place is really a "homestay" as you feel fully integrated into the daily life of the family. Lakhmini was preparing great and daily changing food, MG is always down for a chat and Monti, the families son and manager will show you around when he is back at his families place for a visit. The place is really clean and spacious, offers a lush green view and good air circulation during night and day. Probably the most silent nights throughout the country as it is located in a dead end road of a local village. You can find peace and also some remote activities nearby in this really untouristy area.

I had a wonderful stay at this accommodation and truly felt at home! The place is quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and recharging. The hosts, Lakmini and MG, are incredibly kind and helpful, always making sure I had everything I needed. My room was spacious and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Everything was spotless, and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to everyone! :)

The people of the accommodation where very friendly and helpful and kind. They feld like grandparents to the children. The food was absolutely tasty. One of the best in Shri Lanka. It was a pleasure to stay here.

We loved the hospitality of the whole family that made us feel like we are a part of the family. The food: breakfast, lunches and dinners home cooked are delicious, made with love and care! The area is beautiful, you can easily rest in nature and reach many waterfalls. The rooms are perfect, clean well prepared with mosquito nets, towels etc. I hope to come back one day.

We only stayed one night before going to Negombo. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom was also clean. We had dinner and breakfast, both times it was good and more than enough. We could park the tuktuk in front of the house under a roof.

1st day in Srilanka for us, met Monty who owns this property. Such an amazing guy and very kind full parents. Uncle and aunty are very kind and patient to answer all queries and guide us through plan our sightseeing. Property is located in midst of lush greenery. Felt like dream home with pets, fish pond etc.

Very clean and comfortable room. A balcony with a very nice view. And the hospitality was incredible. Best guesthouse to experience authentic sri lankian life.

Perfect peaceful place inside the green field and forest, out of the town but not far the perfect balance to isolate and relax. Charming family with beautiful hearts always ready to share and smile at you. There's a big balcony where you can site and admire the symphony of life. I would definitely recommend, very good value for money.
