“Perfect location and perfect hotel”

Loved everything at this hotel. Perfect location in the middle of the islands (30-45 min drive to most destinations), great breakfast, lovely staff, cozy bed, lots of shops, supermarkets and restaurants in 200-500 m on the street. Absolutely loved it!

“Perfect stay for my Faroe Islands adventure!”

This would be easily a 4 star hotel in most of the European countries. Absolutely love it here. The bed is perfect for resting after a long day of hiking, the breakfast has it all, it is situated on a street which haa everything you wish for: numerous restaurants, pizza/kebab, stores for shopping, supermarkets and even a gas station. I decided to make this my “basecamp” for 5 out of 7 nights in Faroe and it was the best decision ever. Very easy to reach many islands from here (30-60 min drives) as it’s somewhat located in the middle of the country. This hotel had a huge positive impact on my Faroe adventure!

We stayed here last year but wanted to stay longer this year as part of our honeymoon to experience more of the area. It didn't disappoint. The location is great, making it a cheaper alternative a short drive outside of the capital. The breakfast has a good offering with a few homemade pastries. The carrot French bread was a personal favourite for me and my wife. The hotel has a really nice and calm atmosphere with friendly staff. The restaurant has basic offering but gives an alternative to the other few restaurants in the vicinity.

The breakfast is monotous. Each day is the same choice and the ketchup appears every second day. However it is tasty.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips for the city and went out of their way to ask about the correct bus stop for our onward journey. Thank you for the hospitality once again!!!

Staying at the Runavik Hotel was a very nice part of our trip to the Faroe Islands. We stayed for one night at first, but ended up staying for two more nights. The central location of the hotel was convenient for us, with nowhere far to go. We were also given a complimentary upgrade to the best room and although Booking didn't advertise it, breakfast was part of our stay. Everyone in the restaurant was also very nice, both the lady who took care of breakfast and the lady who served us for dinner. The breakfast deserves a special comment as it was very varied - sweet, savoury pastries, sausages, eggs, cold cuts, a wide range of cheeses, cereals etc. We can really recommend a stay in the hotel to anyone looking for comfort when travelling around the beautiful Faroe Islands.

“Superb. Stunning scenery and friendly staff.”

The location was excellent and had stunning views of the harbour and the mountains behind it. The hotel was centrally located in the town on the main street with a bus stop just outside and the football stadium (for those interested) just a 100 metres or so up the road. The breakfast was superb with an extensive range of fresh things to eat. The setting was nice too. The staff were excellent, and as our flight was delayed and got there late, they left our key in an envelope on the desk with information about the hotel attached.
