Overview
De Stobbe is a family-run hotel located in the village of Ruinen, only 15 minutes' drive from Hoogeveen. The hotel has an indoor pool, a massage salon and sauna facilities. It offers cosy accommodation with box-spring beds and modern bathrooms. The rooms are warmly coloured and come with a little seating area, TV with cable channels and free Wi-Fi. The spacious bathrooms have a separate bath tub and shower. Restaurant De Stobbe offers a menu of Dutch and French cuisine meals prepared with products from the region. In the morning, guests can enjoy here a buffet breakfast. There is also a bar with a lounge to relax. The town of Meppel is less than 15 minutes away by car. National Park Dwingelderveld is only 2 km away.

Good location for our needs. Lovely quiet quaint village. Staff friendly and pool was nice and welcoming after a hot day. Food was lovely in the restaurant too.

Person at the reception desk was very unhelful and rude. I requested simple explenation where should I park my car, bacuse whole hotel parking plot is full. His answer was very unfriendly. Room that I received was probably not ventilated for a really long period, when I came in it simly stinked.

The staff are very friendly and the hotel itself is extremely comfortable. Food is delicious, plus a great breakfast. Great size swimming pool and sauna. Lovely location with plenty of walks. And conveniently situated for public bus transport to nearby towns. I plan to return for longer next time.

“Old spacious room nice location”
The room was spacious as advertised but no lace curtain though there was a rail. So we asked at reception but it seems to be a standard. Since on the ground floor no privacy and the thick curtain makes it pitch dark, they moved us to a different room. It was a kind arrangement.

“I liked it and I will come back”
Always a nice stay and the restaurant is very good! Big rooms. The adorable staff is doing a great job. On the other side of the road is an extra parking lot for the hotel.
