Excellent accommodation about 10 minutes walk from the center, new, very clean, quiet, safe, comfortable, fully equipped for cooking. The owners and staff are very kind, accommodating, helpful. They provided me with the transportation I needed. Tasty, varied, large breakfast. I definitely recommend it.

My two friends and I had an excellent stay at Makeri Residence. It is a very peaceful, comfortable, nice place to stay. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and clean. Beds were big and comfortable. Makeri is about 20 minutes walking from the Musanze bus station. What truly made our stay very wholesome was the amazing lady, Lilian, who takes care of the place. She was incredibly kind and helpful. She was really a crucial help in navigating the practicalities of climbing Muhabura in Volcanoes Nationalpark. She also helped us book transportation, and made us lovely breakfast at whatever time suited us. She really deserves all of our praise.

I had an amazing time at Makeri. Spent a weekend. The place is clean and spotless. It is right next to a road but designed in such a way that the rooms sit in an oasis of calm and quiet. The place has recent and modern amenities . The hostess Liliane is a true gem. She made sure this was a home away from home. The price for the stay is also very correct. Cannot recommend this enough. Do yourselves a favor a book your stay.

Amazing service! We even got breakfast 10 minutes earlier so that we could leave a bit earlier for our hike. Guests really come first here and the team gave everything for that. I've barely stayed in places that similarly care for their guests.

The staff on site was absolutely lovely, the interior design of the appartments was very comfortable, and the location was safe and quiet.

It is not located in the nicest surrounding of the city, but the apartments are clean and nice and well equipped. Dinner is organized if you explicitly ask for it (may be better to organize in advance, otherwise you might have to wait a bit longer). Breakfast is served on the terrace with a really nice view over the volcanos!!! If you want to have a beer in the evening you have to order it through the reception - ask explicitly for a cold one! (I was a little bit surprised, that the hotel wouldn't offer some). But: great value for money. Very clean and comfortable!

“Exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere”

We stayed 3 nights and loved our stay at Makeri. The studio room was spacious, very comfortable and felt like home. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Jackie and Lilian. They went above and beyond, cleaning our muddy boots and clothes after two hiking days. Makeri also helped arrange our transport to Volcanoes National Park. Whenever we needed anything, they were always happy to provide it. Breakfast was also exceptional and was elevated by a magnificent view over to the volcanoes. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, our favourite accommodation in Rwanda.

We spent a few incredible days in Makeri. We felt right at home. The apartment was spacious and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and a small gym that has everything you need. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a 20-minute walk from the center. It's in an area with a school, so you always see children greeting you and friendly neighbors. Wi-Fi works well.

“The best place to stay in Rwanda”

We loved everything starting from our arrival. The price was very affordable for the service provided to us. The host was always there and smiling. The apartment and the area was spotlessly clean. The finishing of the home is top-notch. The breakfast was very satisfying and adequate. We could also use the washing machine, and there was always staff to help us. The terrace has a beautiful view. A special mention to the details in furnishing the home, it's really spotless.
