Overview
Set directly on the banks of the Rhine River, the country-style Hotel Café Post offers a sunny garden and an on-site pastry shop. A daily buffet breakfast and free WiFi are also provided. Serving hearty German cuisine, the country-style restaurant and café features panoramic river views. Guests can also enjoy a large selection of cakes here, or relax with a glass of wine on the terrace. The simply furnished rooms come complete with a TV and private bathroom. Hotel Café Post is ideally located for walks along the Rhine Embankment, as well as cycling trips through the surrounding vineyards and forests. Boat trips along the river can also be booked. It is 200 metres to the historic Burg Rheinstein Castle, and Assmanshausen Train Station is only 100 metres away.

The bedroom with toilet was comfortable. We were travelling by bicycle and with our dog. We were able to store our bicycles in a locked garage. The staff were very friendly with us and our dog. The breakfast was delicious with different kind of bread, cheese, yogurt and also vegan milk.

“The town is worth visiting, and if you are coming with a car, parking is easy here.”
Nice and modest staff. Not crowded, so the servive was personal. Old fashioned, good way to stay a night.

“I liked Hotel Cafe Post, honest hotel in a good location.”
great location, right next to the Rhine. Breakfast was very good amongst the best we had all holiday. The host was very friendly and took time out to settle us in, we arrived on motorbikes. The room was a fair size and comfortable, with a separate bathroom. Good value considering the location.

“Beautiful Rhine View”
Love this place and so grateful to return after 8 years and have the same lovely comfortable room and same proprietor Stephen. Great food and beautiful view of the Rhine. Could sit for ages watching the world go by on the river. Easy access to other parts via train or boat.

It was right on the river Rhine, nice view for breakfast to watch the boats going up and down the river. There was a lovely pub just down the road. The proprietor called and said where we would find the key.

The location is fantastic, right by river Rhine. Lovely outdoor terrace. Fabulous views of local castles and vineyards. Breakfast was good, though I would have liked more fruit and less meat.

Stephan did a great breakfast, considering all our other Booking. Com hotels were very expensive with no breakfast. We booked a hotel in Frankfurt but couldn't make it due to rail problem. Had free cancellation, but were fobbed off by booking.com and received nothing.
