It is a lovely little house that will provide you with a unique accommodation experience in the town. I very much liked how you can trace the edges of the town wall in the upper room. Basic cooking facilities, a shower (no shampoo or soap provided), two bedrooms, as well as a sofa that is big enough to sleep on if need be.

This historic property was an amazing place to spend Christmas. Great responsive host, comfortable beds, amazing location. Well equipped kitchen for cooking. There was even a Christmas tree for us.

“A pleasant stay”

A small cozy house suitable for family stay at the entrance of the mediaeval town. Fire stove at ground floor, lovely living room, neat bed rooms and penthouse, clean kitchen and bath room, make it an ideal place to enjoy a short break. Host Jonas is very responsive.

“An extremely beautiful medieval home”

The place is hands down the most special place I've ever slept in. HANDS DOWN! The experience of living in a medieval home is unbeatable. There's an extremely affordable public parking lot right behind the fortress wall (5 minutes walk) and it's 1.3€ per hour or 6€ per day (weekdays 9-18). The host told us we could park right in front for a few minutes to unload the luggage, but it was no problem walking from the parking lot with everything. The kitchen is fully equipped, so we could have breakfasts at home, quick and cheap (there's a Kaufland close to the old center, but on the other side of it). The hallway was super cold (this is not a down side, you'd never spend time there, as the whole place is upstairs), but the rest of the apartment was warm and cozy, including the room in the attic! This is just to say that the heating is working great there.

“Perfect”

The house is built on the wall, and it's the most authentic place one can live in. Fully renovated, but the part of the wall kept as is, so you feel like you touch the history. Lovely kitchen, close to the old part (you are practically in it) and to the parking. Easy self check in. Host is helpful and super nice. Everything was perfect.

“Rothenburg”

Jonas's house was wonderful, it had great facilities, was really comfortable and quiet and in a fantastic position within walking distance of everything. Some of the windows had screens which was a great bonus as it was quite warm and as I am a magnet for mosquitoes I could leave those windows open and have a good night's sleep without worrying about being bitten!!! The house itself is so amazing set into the town wall with quirky rooms and an amazing staircase. It was like living in your own fairytale!!! I know some people didn't like the fact that there were some low ceilings but as someone who is just under 6ft tall I had no problem. Would definitely return, can only recommend it highly. Jonas himself was great with communication too and we followed his tips eating at Alte Keller and the Taj Mahal, both were excellent. Thank you Jknas for sharing your house with us!
