We loved our stay at the Hotel Sonne. You can hardly find a better location in Rothenburg. It's in the center of everything, yet the room was very quiet. The bed was comfy, bathroom perfectly clean. Complimentary water, fruit, and an electric kettle with coffee are provided in the room. However, it’s the staff who makes this hotel so special. Everyone is super kind, attentive and friendly, always smiling. We were really impressed by the variety of choices for breakfast. Everything was absolutely delicious! We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Rothenburg.

“Great place to stay but not on the third floor.”
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely friendly. It was situated in a brilliant position in the old town. Our room was large and very clean, however a little more dated than other rooms but that was not an issue for us. The room was on the top floor with only a very narrow winding staircase to get heavy suitcases up and down. No lift as an option. Our departure from the hotel was at 6am. There was no hot water to shower with at this time and it was a cold October morning. This was disappointing given the cost of the hotel. Overall, it’s a great place and I would recommend it keeping these issues in mind.
