“Fabulous apartment, friendly and helpful host and perfect location”

We stayed in an apartment which was spacious and well appointed. We had fabulous views from both our bedroom and lounge room. Although the walk into town is doable we chose to drive and park in a car park which our host told us about. It was perfect and we were able to walk straight into the old town from the car park. We had a fabulous time and there is so much to see in Rothenburg ob der Tauber and plenty of places to eat.

“Absolutely charming accommodation and town”

A very beautiful location, utter peace and quiet. Short walk into Rothenburg which has to be one of the prettiest towns we have visited. Plenty of places in town to eat and drink, surprisingly good options for vegetarian/vegan. We particulaly enjoyed an evening glass of wine in the garden of the Hotel Burggartenpalais. Apartment is furnished quite simply but was very clean, light and cool even on very hot days. Really appreciated the honesty fridge full of cold drinks, very handy when returning from a long day out.

“Wonderful memories exploring the place!”

A very peaceful place with lots of outdoor space and greenery. Despite the unusually hot summer, the interior of the apartment is cool. The bedrooms are very spacious. Very good opportunities for walking a lot especially going up and down slopes. Everytime we needed to buy groceries, we had to walk uphill and downhill as Rothenburg town is on high ground and the apartment is in the valley. But the views during the walk is refreshing. We walked different routes each day, good exercise too. The owner is helpful. Anyway we're thankful to be able to get to stay here because it is an idyllic place we saw from the lookout at the castle garden wall about 20 years ago and we had hoped to stay here one day!😊

This is a cute cozy accomodation at the local watermill (one of many) which is being in use since 1909. The pension is run by a very friendly and helpful couple, it was a pleasure to chat with. Since its located at the mill, one can hear a waterstream outside, which is very relaxing. Im not a fast paced runner in any way, but it took me around 10-15 mins to get to the city walls and main streets. We had a double bed, plus another single bed in another room. All the facilities and kitchen supply are functional.

The location was exceptional, and so was the room and the facilities.The owners were very welcoming and nice as well, and helped us set up an arrival time outside of the listed check-in slot. The connection to the city on foot was really good, yet you still are staying in nature right next to the river Tauber. Honestly an absolutely amazing place, and for the price it's an absolute steal.

The place was wonderful, much better than expected. The house is cozy and has a beautiful view toward the city. Waking up with the sound of the river that passes a few meters away from the windows is a relaxing experience. The host was super welcoming.

Close to the town centre with max 10 min walk. Clean and large appartment in a very nice place with a graden. Kitchen. Friendly owner.

The apartment we had was clean and comfortable. We found the bed very comfortable, maybe a bit too firm for some. The apartment is part of a mill complex and is family run. The place was so peaceful and who doesn’t want to fall asleep to the glorious sound of running water! The location was perfect, easy to park there and walk up in to Rothenburg, it is uphill but we are in our seventies and managed it with comparative ease in about 10 minutes. Parts of the mill are very old and the history of the place was visible in the buildings. The family who own the place were lovely and friendly and very welcoming. We felt the apartment was excellent value for money, we have stayed in similar places in the English Lake District but at three times the cost. Highly recommended!

“A large one bedroom unit in a peaceful location run by a lovely family.”

Loved that property was close to old town but in a very quiet secluded area. Could listen to the small creek and enjoy the serenity. Our room was huge, an apartment with everything we needed and more. Was a short drive up the hill or a walk if you wish and a car park right next to the gates of the old town. Was family owned and all were pleasant and most helpful during our stay. We just loved it !!!!!
