We chose to return on our drive home from the south, because it was a suitable distance for splitting the journey and we had enjoyed staying, for longer, there ten days earlier on our outward journey. We liked the idea of being able to get an evening meal without the hassle of finding a nearby restaurant.

“A beautiful place off the beaten track”

We loved the beautiful remote location, the friendliness of the owner and the quirky but very comfortable bedroom. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, the farm is renowned for its beef, but she kindly provided fish for us when we said we preferred not to eat meat. We loved Luca, the house dog, and the cats too. We hope to return soon.

“Modern room on a traditional working farm with warm hospitality”

This is quite a find. Set in the heart of the french countryside with picturesque etangs (lakes) all round and close tot he Brenne National Park. The room is housed in a wing of a working farm. It is modern and stylish in contrast to the traditional rustic buildings. The host is very welcoming and provided a cold beer on my arrival and an amazing homemade breakfast! There is an auberge style restaurant on the ground floor I believe to be open on weekends. Menu looked good!

“Friendly low key room in stunning surroundings”

A really beautiful building in a stunning location. If you love nature, birds, beavers, horses and a quiet life, then this is the place for you. I stayed here as I'm an enthusiastic bird photographer and there is a massive area to explore within this Brenne nature reserve. Sonia was really friendly and smiley and welcoming. The room is above the restaurant BUT the weekend I stayed the restaurant was closed for festival elsewhere. I'm not sure how noisy the room would be on a busy night! And note, there are no views from the room as it has velux windows but this didn't bother me as I was only there to relax/sleep. Lots of light and birdsong through these roof openings. The bathroom is a good size with a good sized shower and sink and natural light. Wifi was good enough for a couple of business zoom calls. TV has Netflix, Prime etc. This is a REALLY good value, lovely 3* chambre d'hotes so if you're expecting luxury and services, then this isn't it. If you want a friendly place to stay with fabulous countryside on your doorstep, then this is it.

Sonia was a very friendly and helpful host. It was fun trying to converse with limited common language skills but we got there in the end ;-) Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Good wifi. Slightly remote location but easy to get to through many of the beautiful, quaint villages. She cooked us a fantastic angus steak for dinner. Great value room

The bistro was not open but we were delighted when Iris offered to cookfor us, an excellent meal.

This is a rare find, a beautiful Chambres d Hote in a rural area. The bedroom was above the restaurant area but was so quiet and comfortable. The breakfast and evening meals were fantastic and the owner was friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this accommodation. We only stayed 2 nights on our way to the South of France. We could very happily have stayed longer. The nearest towns are just a short distance away and are well worth visiting.

I loved this hotel, it is in such a beautiful area, the breakfast was great and the evening meal was amazing and in such a fantastic restaurant (this was summer so was on the terrace). The staff were lovely too.
