Hotel all in all is fine, staff was very unreasonable though. They charged money for our kids (0 and 2), even though on booking.com and their own site they state they can stay for free. At the counter they said we had to pay ~10 euro per kid extra. When faced with their own policies (children 0-3 are free), they said 'it's due to the system' and 'will discuss with management to change'. Very unreasonable and a cheap way to gain more money.

Outdoor swimming pool was really good and the view is stunning. I liked breakfast and lounge area., very modern and the views again were fantastic. Friendly staff assisted me in everything I wanted, inlcuding bike storage.

We did 2 week in Norway and this hotel was the best. Its hidden pearl. The complex doesn't look as nice on the outside as what it offers. Wood burning fireplace in the hall, in April it was burning all day and evening. Billiards, darts, lots of board games. The pool is better than in the picture, nice design. The breakfast room is very spacious, everyone will find a cosy place. This is the first time in Norway that I have found such good body wash products, Bravo!

Spa facilities were great, with both indoor and outdoor pools, sauna was just right. Location was a 20 minute walk from the town.

Room was nice, but we did not get a double bed as requested.

wanted to share a quick note to help with staff training. When I ordered a cortado coffee (which is listed on the menu), the waiter wasn’t sure how to make it. Additionally, I ordered a vegan version of the chicken salad, but it was served with cheese and bread containing butter. This means the dish wasn’t actually vegan. I’m not trying to complain — just hoping this can be used as a learning point to ensure the team has a clearer understanding of menu items and dietary requirements. A bit more training and communication between the kitchen and service staff could really help prevent confusion like this in the future.

What could be better than to relax in a hot outdoor bubble pool when the outdoor temperature is below 10 centigrades? Or to go for a stroll in the old town of Røros during the colors of autumn? Or relax by the fire with a local beer in hand? Or to watch the sunrise over a rich breakfast table?
