Hosts are lovely, we enjoyed very much the conversations over breakfast, also they were very helpful in guiding us and made our Rome visit easier. Breakfast was perfect, with lot of options salty & sweet, plus the special treat - fresh tarts prepared by Lyuba every day. The apartment is nice and comfortable, loved the bathroom- very clean and well organised. Location is very good, close to center, restaurants and metro close by. At the end, we left as friends and already planning the return.

What a fantastic B&B. It is in a great location with the majority of Rome’s key sites walkable from the property, especially the Vatican, but also 5 minutes walk to the metro station which connects to sites slightly further away in around 15 mins subway journey (e.g. Colosseum) for €1.50 if you don’t want to walk. We stayed in the 2 bedroom/1 bathroom “apartment” which was excellent and comfortable. What makes this B&B stand out though are the hosts Lyuba and Marco who are incredible. They were so kind and generous. They gave the best tips on what to do and see, best times to visit to avoid the biggest crowds and all the best and great value delicious local restaurants (and ice cream parlours) to eat at nearby - which they will even book for you. The breakfast spread they put on every morning is the best I’ve ever seen…you will not go hungry and can skip lunch if you want to save some money as you will be full of pastries, pies, cakes, meats, fruits, cheeses etc etc! Truly a wonderful place to stay. We will be back!

“Wonderful stay!”

We stayed for five days in this wonderful B&B. We arrived too early to check in, but we received a very warm welcome and were allowed to leave our luggage so we could go out for lunch in the meantime. We were given so many valuable tips about Rome — not only about the main sights, but also their personal recommendations, advice for public transport and restaurants. We stayed in the suite with two bedrooms and a bathroom. The suite had every comfort we could wish for. It was spotlessly clean and cleaned everyday. Breakfast was very generous, with delicious homemade cakes or pastries every morning. We were even given a small bag with pastries to take with us for our day trips. The hospitality here is truly admirable! Nothing is ever too much for them. When they found out that I was intolerant to eggs, they went out of their way to bake something especially for me. On top of that, their thoughtfulness really touched me. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and they surprised me with a homemade birthday cake and a bottle of prosecco. We celebrated together with the other guests. I was so moved by their kindness. Whenever we wanted to go out for dinner, they listened carefully to what we were looking for and recommended places that perfectly matched our wishes. They even offered to call the restaurant to make a reservation for us. If you like sushi, they know a very good place! When we first arrived in Rome, we decided to make our own way to the B&B instead of using their airport transfer. They kindly suggested alternative options that were very budget-friendly. For our departure, we did choose their airport transfer, which they arranged for us. We were even allowed to leave our luggage at the B&B after check-out, so we could enjoy extra hours in Rome without worry. The transfer went perfectly smoothly and stress-free. Communication was excellent as well.

This was easily the best stay we had on our 3month trip through Europe. The rooms were clean, comfortable, large and well decorated, in a lovely building with an cage elevator (which was cool). The location was fantastic. 10-15min walk to the Vatican which was safe to walk to early morning, close to the metro station on the main line plus bus stops nearby which made getting around really easy. The neighbourhood is safe too and we had no issues getting to great restaurants as well. But the best thing about our stay was our hosts Lyuba and Marco. The breakfasts and morning cappuccinos were delicious and generous, and our hosts had great recommendations for things to do and see during our stay to get the most out of it. They were extremely thoughtful, making the trip extra special with a surprise birthday cake during our breakfast. It felt like a home away from home and we looked forward to breakfast with them and other guests every morning, as well as coming home at the end of a hectic sightseeing day. 10/10 - could not rate our stay more highly. We'd definitely stay here again if we get the chance!

Marco and Lyuba were just so amazing and you can really see and appreciate the care and attention to detail that they put into every thing concerning the property.It felt like a home away from home.Wish we could have stayed longer.Very clean and pleasant environment.Even the keys which were originals and probably as old as the apartment were fascinating!!! We have had a fabulous trip to Rome. Lubya and Marco are top notch hosts absolutely deserving 10 out of 10. They were so helpful and gave us great recommendations. The breakfast was a feast of meat cheese eggs toast cakes etc Lots of choice and interesting things to try. They even cooked a birthday cake for my partner 🎂. Talk about going above and beyond. When I saw the 10 score I wondered how this had been achieved, but now I know, and I will definitely return. We wanted to be near to the Vatican and this was, we were there to see the white smoke and the new Pope, so it certainly was memorable. They offered to arrange a car to meet us at the airport, this made things so convenient and door to door. I thoroughly recommend Vatica B&B Roma

“Great stay and location. Was good for travelling with small child.”

We loved staying here for our trip to Rome. We travelled with our toddler and the hosts were wonderful to her. They provided a toddler bed and gave her a treat when we left. The room was excellent and the breakfast was good every morning. The hosts helped us get a dinner reservation on our first night and helped get a car back to the airport when we left. The location was excellent and we were able to walk or take the subway to everything we wanted to see in the city.

We spent two nights here at the start of our Italian holiday, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a more perfect beginning. The room and facilities were not only comfortable but beautifully maintained — a real retreat after a day of exploring Rome, and just a short walk from St. Peter’s Square and the Basilica, which made sightseeing incredibly convenient. From the very beginning, even before we arrived, the experience was seamless. Lyuba and Marco were in touch with us to confirm details like payments and helped arrange our airport transfer, all with such clear and friendly communication. It set the tone for the rest of our stay — thoughtful, convenient, and stress-free. What truly made our stay exceptional were our wonderful hosts, Marco and Lyuba. They are the sweetest couple — so warm, generous, and full of fantastic local recommendations. Thanks to their tips, we were able to easily plan our days to visit the sights and enjoy meals at restaurants where we had some of the best food of our trip. Marco even helped us with reservations, ensuring we had a spot without any wait — such a helpful touch that made everything feel effortless. Each morning began with the most incredible homemade breakfast prepared by Lyuba — a full spread that truly had it all. From home made cakes and warm toast to eggs, sandwiches, fresh juices, espresso, and cappuccinos, absolutely nothing was lacking. And to top it off, Marco introduced us to Caffè Corretto — certainly a strong way to start the day. We were waking up to a feast every morning, and it was such a comforting and memorable part of our stay. We left feeling not just well taken care of, but genuinely welcomed. If I ever get the chance, I would love to return with my whole family. This place, and these hosts, are a true gem. Highly recommend!

Great stay! The overall experience exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, spacious and modernly equipped, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, always ready to help with your query. Breakfast was varied and tasty, we enjoyed fresh and quality food every day. The location of the hotel is ideal - close to the center but in a quiet area, which gave us a great combination of relaxation and easy access to the main tourist attractions. We would definitely love to come back here and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality and a great atmosphere! David

“The perfect location & hosts for an amazing stay in Rome.”

Vatica B&B is run by the most caring, amazing couple who will go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The facilities and comfort are excellent and the neighbourhood is safe and extremely well connected to the Metro and the whole of Rome. The breakfast is just beautiful with home made cakes, fresh fruit, cereals and cold meat and cheese. The owners booked us a cab for arrival and offered to book us restaurants too, which is often necessary, especially in the evening. They are on hand to recommend places to visit and made a great suggestion for an extra stop near a museum we were already seeing. They love their city and are keen to make sure their guests get the best out of their visit too. In all honesty, this is the best place we’ve stayed in 50+ years and we’ll definitely go back.
