The hotel is in a great place to visit the Colosseum & forum but also many beautiful basilica’s. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Really enjoyed the rooftop bar in the evenings. Some lovely cocktails and the staff were great.

Overall, I evaluate the stay positively. There were a few misunderstandings. We were traveling with our grandmother, and upon arrival we found out that we had one large duvet. I asked at the reception if it would be possible to replace it with two duvets so that each of us could have our own. It was surprising to return to the hotel and find two UNMADE duvets on the bed. So I went back to reception to explain that we needed them to be properly made. A young man came and handed me bed linen, as if we were supposed to make the bed ourselves in a 4* hotel. However, I then realized it was actually a bedsheet, not duvet covers. After the third trip to reception, we gave up and managed with one duvet. The next morning, we had an unwelcome visitor in the shower – a cockroach. We didn’t make a big deal out of it, just reported it at reception and asked for it to be removed. However, I expected that some form of gesture or attention would be offered as an apology, which unfortunately did not happen. I did not request any compensation – these things can happen. At check-in, we were told that if we wanted to go for a drink on the rooftop, there was no need to make a reservation. However, we were not informed that on one of the evenings the entire rooftop bar was reserved for a private event. These details make the overall experience. That said, the staff were very kind, and the breakfast was nice – not outstanding, but satisfactory.

“Absolutely great - would return”

Very well-appointed room, with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. Wonderful breakfast team (Alice, Davide, and co) and very helpful front desk team. Nice to have the views of the Colosseum from the roof-top bar and the dining room and of the nearby monastery. Location was very good, in a quiet area, though only 3 or 4 minutes' walk to the Colosseum and metro; plenty of friendly restaurants nearby.

The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. It was very clean and in good condition. The hotel is about 5 min walk from the colosseum and very close to most of the major ancient Roman sites. There are also many restaurants in the area. The breakfast was a buffet. It has a good selection of fresh fruit, meats, cheese, cereals etc. The bacon was good as were the eggs. Staff were very helpful
