Next to Lake Iijärvi, this camping site features accommodation in cottages with private sauna, terrace and easy access to swimming and fishing, just 35 minutes’ drive from Kajaani and 2 km from Ristijärvi. The cottages at Ristijärven Cottage Village are located in various places on the camping site and the all include a well-equipped kitchen with dining area. They also have a fireplace and a spacious terrace. In addition to the private saunas, there is a rentable lakeside sauna. Cross-country skiing trails start right at the property. Outdoor games such as darts and table tennis are available. Ristijärven Cottage Village has an on-site restaurant, which serves meals on pre-order. The centre of Hyrynsalmi is 30 km from the property, which offers free parking for guests.

Was clean. Nature surrounding it was beautiful. We had good weather aswell so we got to see the view.

“Refreshing stay on the way up North”
Lakeside area, swimming and sauna possibilities. The budget cabin is a bit like children's cottage yet good enough for a short stay for 1 or 2 persons.

“Disappointing :(”
We booked a two-bedroom holiday house in the complex, but on the spot it turned out that it is not located by the lake, but 3,5 kilometers away in the forest in the middle of nowhere, where there were 3 other similar houses and nothing more, only mosquitoes! We couldn't use any of the advertised amenities - no beach, no restaurant, no cafe. It was not possible to rent toys or bicycles for children. It was not possible to go to the sauna or swim. We were very disappointed that these houses were not located in the right place on the lake and it was not possible to understand before booking that they were located somewhere else and so far from the right place. The interior of the house was as in the pictures, but a bit older and tired. The windows had no handles and were difficult to open. And although it was said that if we don't clean the house properly, we will be fined 80 euros, but the house wasn't completely clean at the beginning - someone's snuff was on the windowsill.
