Overview
Gite Le Mandlé offers self-catering accommodation in a house featuring a garden and a balcony with views of the surrounding vineyards and located a 12-minute drive from Colmar. It provides free Wi-Fi access and free private parking on site. The living/ dining room opens onto the private, furnished terrace looking onto the mountain and village. Barbecue facilities are provided and the kitchen is equipped, complete with an oven. There are 3 bedrooms and the bathroom is fitted with a shower. You will find shops and restaurants in the medieval village centre of Riquewihr, a 3-minute walk away. From here you can discover the local wines and vineyards.

“Fabulous location, fabulous host- can’t wait to come back.”
Great location- the view from the kitchen window across the vines to the Black Forest is stunning. You are a short walk into the town which has a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The garden is a lovely spot to have breakfast or dinner. On-site off-street parking is provided and is essential since nearby parking is charged and often full. The house is tastefully furnished with lots of crockery, cutlery and glassware which means you don’t need to run the dishwasher every day. Riquewhir is busy during the day with lots of tour buses bringing people to the area. There’s a little train to take you round the sights but it’s an amazing place to wander around the narrow streets. In the evening it quietens down a lot. Veronique is an amazing host. She is extremely helpful and provides lots of information on what to do in the area including maps and leaflets on activities, sights, walking and cycling routes, bars and restaurants.

Veronique gave us a tour of the wineyards with a full explanation on the work they do. The house is very comfortable and complete and the views are spectacular. The town is just a minute stroll away. We loved every minute of our stay
