Me and my wife had an amazing stay here! The host (and the owner) Nino, made us feel like VIPs from the moment we arrived and was incredibly helpful with all the information we needed, even recommending great places to visit in the area. Also we had some valuable converstions about I can say everything. The overall vibe was so genuine and authentic and truly felt like a real vacation. Every morning we were surprised with a different, delicious breakfast, beautifully prepared by Nino himself from local ingredients and full of flavor. I’m definitely taking home a few recipe ideas:) Our sea view suite was lovely, and the beds were super comfortable — I slept so well. I’ll absolutely be coming back here on my next visit to Sicily!

An Unforgettable Sicilian Stay! Our stay at Mar dei Poeti was truly exceptional. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, and tastefully furnished. The location is perfect – a peaceful, scenic spot with a gorgeous sea view and crystal-clear water for swimming, yet close enough to good local restaurants. It also serves as an ideal starting point for day trips to explore the beauty of Sicily. The breakfast at Mar dei Poeti is truly remarkable, starting with the freshly pressed orange juice, bursting with natural sweetness, and an array of homemade delights like a perfectly cooked omelette and a delicious quiche Lorraine. The table was always filled with local specialties, each dish lovingly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that capture the essence of Sicily’s rich culinary tradition. The name “Mar dei Poeti” feels fitting for this place, as each apartment is dedicated to a famous poet, adding a literary charm that pervades the atmosphere. Books can be found everywhere—some thoughtfully placed in the apartments, others scattered in the hallways, alongside beautiful artworks and paintings, offering a constant source of inspiration wherever you look. It’s a perfect fusion of artistry, literature, and remarkable hospitality. Hosts Nino and Mario went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Nino’s cheerful personality is a genuine good mood generator for everyone around him, we enjoyed listening to his singing while cooking and we appreciated his thoughtful tips for day trips.

We spent three nights here. Our host Nino and staff member Mario, went beyond our expectations of making us feel so incredibly welcome. Our accommodation was huge overlooking the sea, with rooftop dining with views of Mt Etna. Nino cooked our breakfasts, no two were the same as he chooses to introduce you to food from various regions using local produce. It was gastronomic experience. Nino gave us so much information about Sicily, helped us to explore areas we hadn't even thought of and we were not disappointed when we followed his advice. We can't thank Nino and Mario enough for their exceptional hospitality. We choose to stay out of the big towns as they are so crowded and expensive to stay and park. This accommodation, is exactly what we look for, not far from anything and gives you the advantage of exploring your surroundings more. thank you Nino for making our stay so enjoyable.

Absolutely outstanding place! Beautiful sea view from the room and from the terrace where breakfast is served. Amazing breakfast full of excellent quality Italian food made with real effort including freshly squeezed juice every morning. Owners are extremely friendly and ensure the guests have everything what they need going above and beyond. I highly recommend this place it could not imagine better place to stay in Sicily.

Nino, the host is one of a kind. Passionate about His work, welcoming the guests in a real special way. Suites area huge, with a front sea view with balcony, equipped with frigobar for free consumption. Breakfast is amazing, served on the roof top terrace.

Huge big suite at an excellent price. Lovely views across the Ionian Sea to Italian coast. Close to Taormina and Naxos but far enough away to be out of the mayhem and throng. The suite was lovely and very comfortable. Alberto was a brilliant host

“Very welcoming host with excellent recommendations”

The host was really friendly and welcoming. The apartment was spacious with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and space for luggage. You could stay there even for longer periods. We were greeted every morning with a smile. The breakfast was delicious and it was lavish. The host’s recommendations for beaches, dinner, Etna excursions were always on point and we had a really good time. I would advise to follow the hosts recommendations.

1. The location is very beautiful, the rooms are spacious and have a sea view. 2. Breakfast is taken on the terrace overlooking the sea. 3. The staff was very kind, they also gave us directions regarding the restaurants with very good food and the beautiful places we can visit.
