“Amazing B&B! - Hidden gem located between Toarmina and Catania”

Nice breakfast, lots of choices and most locally sourced, lovely sitting area outside and really friendly service from the owners. We arrived late in the evening and booked initially the wrong amount of rooms. Despite this Salvo was very friendly and flexible in facilitating the changes. Oh and don't forget the stunning View on the etna.

Where to even begin? The B&B is situated in Riposto, which is centrally located to the main sites of this part of Sicily: about a 30 minute drive from Catania, 30 from Taormina, an hour from Messina and lies near one of the roads to Rifugio Sapienza, meaning you can get to the lift up the Etna in about 45 minutes. The beach is likewise only a short drive from the B&B. In terms of accomodation, I had a nice, spacious room with a modern bathroom, air conditioning, ..., everything was impeccable. The B&B itself has parking space and a nice, cosy garden where guests can enjoy breakfast in the morning - a lovely breakfast tended to by the hostess, Emilie, who took great care in "mixing up" the food on offer every morning, chatting with the various guests and providing helpful advice on where to eat, what to visit, by what means to travel, ... A very relaxing, and welcoming experience. In fact, even the cats were very keen on socialising with the guests! If you plan on travelling in this area of Sicily, this place is both a very easy and a very definite recommend.

Very nice and quiet accommodation. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic with a variety of delicious homemade pies made by Emily. The garden is an oasis of peace where you can enjoy being surrounded by citrus fruits. Everything is very clean and nicely arranged. Thanks Emily and Salvo for the great stay, we enjoyed it!

CaraNera is a wonderful place to stay. It’s run by the loveliest family, who make you feel welcome right away (we were greeted with a delicious homemade limoncello!) and shared great tips on where to eat and what to see in the area. The rooms are comfortable, the air conditioning works well, and the location is beautifully peaceful. Breakfast was different every morning and absolutely delicious. Grazie mille!

We had a wonderful stay! A big thank you to Emilia and the host for the warm welcome and all the help throughout the week. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious, and the coffee – 10 out of 10! We truly felt at home and would love to come back one day. Highly recommended!

What a magical and relaxing place, beautiful and peaceful garden, lovely and dear hosts and amazing breakfast. Great if you are visiting Etna or Taormina.

The property is wonderful, with a large garden with lemon and other fruit trees. From the balcony, you can see Etna. The location of the B&B is perfect. The owners are great, amiable, and attentive to details, which made us have an enjoyable experience. The breakfast is excellent, made with great care and with local products

“Great stay!”

The stay at Emilie & Salvo was the best that could happen to us. Before we arrived we got very clear instructions about how to reach the place, the checkin was very smooth, the room was very very nice. You have everything that you need: comfy bed, fully equipped bathroom, good parking, very nice breakfast from the local products, very nice home feeling in the garden. We also appreciated the instructions about where to eat and what to visit (especially recommend the visit to Scudero winery). We would love to return and stay next time again!

We had a wonderful stay at CasaNera. The apartment was not only clean and spacious, but also beautifully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was a highlight — freshly prepared and absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to start the day. The hosts were incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations for local attractions and always available when needed. The location itself is breathtaking; CasaNera is nestled in a peaceful garden with stunning views of Mount Etna, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. We can't wait to return!

It ist an amazing B&B, a true secret spot. You can go from Riposto everywhere by car really easily. The parking at the B&B was perfect. Emilie makes an amazing breakfast, especially the blueberry juice was really nice. We also recommend to try the pistachio cornetto. There was a large buffet, where you can have everything what you need for a nice and healthy breakfast. Salvo and Emelie are great hosts and they built the B&B with lots of love and passion together. We will definitely come back.

This was our best stay in Sicily. If you are looking for a quaint place, where you can be in touch with locals and the surroundings away from tourists, this is the place for you. The instructions were very easy to follow for our arrival, the host reached out to make sure we had everything we needed and stayed open for communication during our stay. On top of a very cute garden, with lovely cats and views to Etna, the room was very spacious, renovated and clean. The breakfast was amazing, with different touches every day and local products. We had a parking spot inside the property and it was an easy drive to the towns around, beaches and close to the highway to get to further points. On top of all that, we received incredible recommendations to enjoy the area just like locals. I cannot recommend this place more, if we come to Sicily again we'll definitely make it to CasaNera.

Everything was really perfect. Breakfasts delicious, place magnificent, quiet, beautiful. Cats will give you a lot of hugs and love, we promise. Owners are really nice people, helpful, kind, very communicative, very good speaking English, well organized. The best place!

Very nice place to stay! Salvo and Silvia are nice hosts, who gave us great tips about restaurants, beaches and interesting places. Very clean room, good furniture, comfy bed. Good breakfast every morning with Etna view. Parking space in the yard. Definitely place to stay:)

Very nice decorated rooms. Very kind host, with many recommendations. Phantastic breakfast. Close to many interesting places like Etna, Taormina, Catania, ... We stayed only 2 nights but that was too short (next time we would plan a longer stay)
