Situated on the motorway exit for Volvic from Riom, 15 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand, Le Moulin des Gardelles is a family-run Logis de France hotel. Guestrooms have views over the surrounding countryside. They feature an en suite bathroom, flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a work desk. “Good one night stop over for me.”
Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows both soft and firm to choose from, separate toilet and bathroom. Very clean. Arrived late at 10pm, and reception was closed however my key was clearly labelled with my last name and left easily in view for me, as I left before 6am I did not encounter any staff.

All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was a reasonable size and comfortable. There was a good selection of breakfast items and the buffet table was continuously kept topped up with fresh items. The restaurant meals were were reasonably priced and excellent.

“Comfortable and convenient”
Excellent location for our journey. Easy to find. Safe parking. Sadly the restaurant was closed for our evening meal but there was a McDonalds nearby, or we could have chosen another restaurant from the list provided. Welcoming to our large dog too!

“It was a fineplace to stay in the heat and the Tour De France”
The hotel is on the outskirts of Riom on the route toVolvic.The hotel and facilities are fine ,the host is welcoming and the outstanding feature of the place i the food. Both the evening meal and the breakfast merited the Gourmand classification of the logis.

“it oversells its location. it’s on an industrial park”
you need to be careful when booking and looking at the pictures. it is on an industrial park about 3 miles from Riom. I saw no picturesque views from my bedroom.
