“Great cabinas close to Rio Celeste”
We loved everything, the clean bungalow with comfortable beds and cozy terrace with hammock, the slowths and birds in the garden and the friendly family who walked us around in the beautiful gardens, showed us plants and animals and gave us fruits to try growing in the garden. The communal kitchen was very useful. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Also, it's very close to Rio Celeste, the river swimming places and more. Thank you for everything!

It’s a very beautiful place !! The rooms are basic but have everything you need for a short stay. There is a kitchen where we could cook and nice tables to sit outside. The big garden is just beautiful, we could see so many birds and a sloth right up in the trees in the garden (mama and baby sloth!!) the breakfast was delicious and the owners are super nice and helpful. There are hammocks to chill outside as well.

“Cosy stay and a beautiful garden”
We really enjoyed our stay at Posada Rural. The garden is beautiful—lush, peaceful, and full of nature—and the breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. The owner was incredibly kind and very knowledgeable about local wildlife. He showed us sloths in his own garden, and we were able to spot a toucan and several other beautiful birds right on the property. He doesn’t speak English, but that wasn’t a problem for us since we’re currently learning Spanish—he even helped us pick up a few new words. A lovely, quiet place near Rio Celeste with great hospitality—highly recommended.

“Best posada in Costa Rica”
This was our favorite stay after traveling Costa Rica. Book the accommodation. We saw sloths, toucans, squirrels and many other birds inside the property. It's clean. Has a kitchen with everything you need. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Love love love

Family running the business is absolutely wonderful. The son gave us fresh coconut from their tree. We never had such a good coconut water and the rest in our entire life. Breakfast prepared by the husband and wife was done to a perfection.

Owner was very nice and relaxed. The place is extremely quiet and pretty. Has a sloth family living in the premises and a little path among the trees with a creek. Had a couple hammock beds as well

Marvin, the owner was amazing. So welcoming and found the sloths for us on both days. You could really tell he cares. The gardens were lovely. The place was spotless. Comfy beds and plenty of space. Wfi in room. 2 fans. Even 2 hangers... which seems to be a rare thing in Costa Rica! Great position for exploring the area and the waterfall.

The welcome was warm, and the place itself is really well cared for, with lovely grounds and a tidy, inviting layout. Our room was spacious, spotless, and came with a private covered patio — perfect for relaxing. The bathroom was a good size too, with a larger-than-average shower, proper hot water, and decent pressure (not always a given in Costa Rica!). AC worked perfectly. The manager went above and beyond — even driving us to a local restaurant when torrential rain made walking impossible. Seriously appreciated. All in all, the posada itself is excellent. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

“Great little place to stay, pretty gardens, birds & if you’re lucky a sloth!”
We stayed a night here to be close to the Rio Celeste waterfall which was about a 15 minute drive away. The gardens are beautiful and there’s a birdfeeder which attracts birds of course! The host was very kind and friendly and he showed us a sloth high in a tree, to my amazement it started descending and I decided to get a chair & sit & watch! it came down to the ground about 2-3 metres away then started ascending; it was the highlight of my holiday! We had breakfast, I had typical Costa Rican, my husband had eggs, ham toast both were delicious, preceded by fresh fruit.
