This was our first stay at the motel. Anyway, good experience. The room was rather small but clean as always in Norway. The bathroom was big enough and clean as well. Recommended to stay if you have a flight next day from Oslo Gardemoen. Pretty good breakfast

Three hours prior to check in, manager called to inform that there would be no breakfast service due to the holidays. Luckily, we did not pay upfront and he agreed on giving us a discount due to that. As there would be no staff during the check in hours, he asked us to transfer the money so that he could check us in upfront. The room doors use regular locks, so he left our apartment door unlocked and the key inside. The room was small and it was barely enough for 2 hand luggages, 2 backpacks and 2 people. Bedroom floor was very dirty. Bathroom floor was not as dirty as the bedroom, but was not very clean either. Luckily we had flip-flops. At least the sink and toilet seemed to be clean, though. Windows did not provide a good insulation, as there was a cold breeze coming in, even with everything completely closed. On top of that, it was more expensive, even with the breakfast discount, than the hotel we stayed in Oslo, which provided a far superior service. I would have moved to another place, but that was Christmas Eve and it seemed unlike that we would find a better place to stay. That made me understand why this motel was the closest place to Hamar with available rooms.

The bed was rather comfortable and the sound insulation was surprisingly effective, given that this is an old motel for lorry drivers and it is next door to noisy lorry facilities.

“Convenient to stay over for one night”

This is a "do not expext too much" venue. It is a motel so do only book when you are travelling to another destination and you need to sleep. That is what it does. Nothing more.
