“Overpriced nightmare in a great location — never again”
Rating: 2/10 – completely overpriced, major disappointment. The location is great — but that’s about it. Everything else was a disaster for the price. Horrible water quality – you literally cannot even brush your teeth because of the unbearable rotten egg smell. The host only mentions this after booking via private messages, a classic tourist trap move. Worn-down apartment – furniture is old, scratched, and worn out. Kitchen poorly equipped for something that calls itself a “luxury loft.” Zero comfort – you have to climb 45 very steep stairs, no elevator. Definitely not suitable for families or anyone with luggage. Noise – extremely loud from early morning till late night, you basically sleep right above Reykjavik’s party street. TVs in Chinese language only, no option to switch — great fun trying to guess what you’re clicking if you don’t speak Mandarin . Price – for over €1100 for 2 nights, we expected premium quality, got a rundown student flat vibe instead. Reykjavik offers better options. For this price point, this place is a joke. Would not recommend.
