“Perfect b&b- a home from home”
I LOVED our visit, super knowledgeable host, amazing local guide, probably my best ever breakfast, puffins and gorgeously decorated. I loved the colour scheme and it turned out to be from the original colours of the home. The living room is so lovely and a wide range books about the home. Good coffee and good company, perfect location!

Amazing location, absolutely wonderful host who goes above and beyond. Cute room. Only issue we had was the lack of blockout blinds which made it hard for us to sleep well due to it staying light all night. Highly recommend staying at this amazing place!!

“A Hidden Gem That Truly Lives Up to Its Name”
The Treasure isn’t just a place to stay; it’s more of a home than a hotel. The house is filled with character. The common areas are packed with art and crafts, creating a creative, cozy environment. We stayed in one of the unique rooms where we actually slept on top of the old baking oven—a quirky, memorable detail that made the stay feel like an adventure. Breakfast at The Treasure is much more than a meal; it’s a social event. Served around one large table in the kitchen, it offers: Authentic Flavors: A wonderful taste of typical Icelandic foods. Global Connection: We found ourselves chatting with travelers about everything from restaurant tips and the weather in Arizona to handball and the best ways to dry wet shoes. The hostess is the heart of the house. She "moderated" the morning discussions beautifully, ensuring everyone felt included, comfortable, and truly at home. She was also very helpful when our flight from Iceland was cancelled due to stormy wheather. The Treasure is a real treasure. We absolutely loved it and can't recommend it enough for those seeking a personal touch in Reykjavik!

“Characterful , cosy, perfect location, Amazing breakfast. Great Value.”
Very good location near the main shopping street, the church and the museums, plus close to the port/sea. The breakfast was fab, you sit together with the other guests and have a big selection of breakfast items (cereal, yoghurt, berries, nuts and seeds, eggs etc), including Icelandic specialties such as flatbread, rye bread made with syrup, and smoked lamb. Our host also made bread and cakes daily which were really special. Our host Steinunn was so helpful and friendly. She gave us great tips on what to do and how to get there, plus she's a great baker :) The room was really sweet and cosy, a four poster style built in bed. The bathroom had a great shower. Everything was spotless. The bed was comfy and the room was warm - underfloor heating kept us toastie - we were there in March but they had deep snow and blizzards. The breakfast room and living room were beautifully decorated and furnished with lots of books and guides.

We particularly liked the style of the property, very clean and minimal. The breakfast area was very sociable as everyone sat at the same table.

“A piece of Reykjavik history”
A cosy haven in an absolutely stunning historic building. So comfortable and inviting. And it cannot be overstated how amazing the breakfast is - you feel truly like you are sitting at a friend’s dining table, being fed freshly made local specialties.

“Amazing 10/10”
Absolutely everything but especially breakfast. Waking up to freshly baked bread, cakes and an assortment of meats and cheese was a real treat. Tea, coffee, fresh juices, cereals, fruits, nuts, Skyr, traditional Icelandic lamb and flatbreads, we were spoilt. If you don't like socialising in the morning then it won't be for you but we loved chatting with our host and the other guests around a big breakfast table. Our host was really friendly, helpful and interesting. The decor both in the kitchen/breakfast room and our room was beautiful. Very tasteful and very welcoming. It was nice and warm as well. The bed was comfy, the shower was powerful, lots of storage, a full length mirror, a fridge, kettle and microwave too. We stayed in the room on the side with our own entrance. This is by far one of the best places we have ever stayed and in one of the oldest buildings in Reykjavik. Location was excellent with some great pubs and lovely restaurants all around. 10mins to the Sun Voyager and cathedral, perfect. The parking garage 1 min away was so handy, we downloaded easypark, enabled camera application and just drove in and out every day with no stress and no messing with ticket machines. We were sad to leave this beautiful B&B.

“Reykjavík Treasure B&B is a truly wonderful place and we cannot wait to return!”
The Reykjavik Treasure B&B is an exceptional place to stay. We initially reserved three nights, but enjoyed it so much that we extended our visit to a full week. The staff are outstanding. The owner and host is welcoming, engaging, and highly knowledgeable. She shared several thoughtful recommendations that genuinely enhanced our experience. She is also very well travelled, and our morning conversations with her became a highlight of our stay. Her assistant is just as friendly and attentive, and together they created a very warm, cozy atmosphere. Our time in Iceland was truly memorable, in part thanks to them. The house itself is beautiful, immaculately maintained, and tastefully furnished. As one of the oldest homes in the area, it has a fascinating history. Our room was delightful. Very clean, comfortable, and inviting, and we slept very well. Breakfast was pretty straightforward but satisfying, with a selection of excellent freshly baked breads prepared each morning that we particularly enjoyed. The location is superb, conveniently close to Bus Stop 1 and a taxi stand, both just a short walk away. Overall, this is a truly top-quality bed and breakfast, and we very highly recommend it!
