The Location

Okay, so we stayed in the apartment with the balcony, which is not in the building shown in the photos. Access is via a narrow wooden staircase. The apartment itself is spacious, but getting to the futon bed requires climbing an additional ladder style staircase with no handrail. I wouldn't recommend it for small children or elderly guests. The building is practically 30 meters from the main street, so it's hard to find a more central location than this. The downside is that parking is quite expensive. It's in Parking Zone P1, and parking is charged from 9 AM to 9 PM on weekdays and from 10 AM to 9 PM on weekends. The rate is around 665 ISK per hour, with a maximum stay of 3 hours at a time. I assume the limit doesn't apply overnight, as I left my car there. Parking can be started and stopped through the mobile app. One thing I found a bit odd was that the owner came by the next morning, about an hour before checkout, to ask when we were leaving. It wasn't a big issue, but I don't particularly like that sort of thing. The WiFi was decent, although we had much faster internet at several other places during our week long trip around the country.

We booked on extremely short notice, just a few hours before check-in on the same day. We received a response immediately and everything was confirmed. Easy check-in via code. Right in the city center, with a large, affordable Bonus supermarket just around the corner, and bus stops 9 and 11 nearby. Simply incredible. Very clean, very cozy, and very warm. The kitchenette is tiny but fully equipped, literally with spices, tea, and coffee. We are very, very satisfied!

Very convenient location, walking distance to everywhere in Reykjavik. Cosy, warm and elegant, with very comfortable beds! The kitchen was well equipped, so we could prepare breakfast and some meals which was great, especially when considering the extremely high restaurant prices. Also, the owner (?) came to greet us and make sure we were fine.

The appartment is centrally located , i think it is the best position in the town. Enough place for the 4 of us. The kitchen is well equiped, the same is the bathroom. The owner was very helpful. Although we made the booking just before new years eve, he responded immediately.
