The location was fantastic - right on Main Street with shops, bars, restaurants and central to everything else. Handy for bus also (two mins to bus stop 9 and 11). It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our room had access to the outdoor balcony which was nice. Starbucks on site was handy. Water cooler in foyer was great.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful. We also appreciated the hot pool and the gym facility.

“Everything was wonderful - the staff, the location, the breakfast, the cleanliness!”

We had a family room with four of us (one double and one sofa bed) at the front of the building over reception. It was a little noisy at night but we were so tired that it didn't affect us. The shower was a good size with nice toiletries. There was a coffee machine with coffee pods and tea bags on the desk which was easy to use. Staff had left an Iceland chocolate bar for my husband with a happy birthday note, which he was really impressed with. He liked the chocolate so much that he bought more from a nearby shop to take home. There was a TV in the room and reception gave us a mobile phone to contact them/use Google etc with but we didn't need to use either. The free WiFi was strong and easy to connect to from our owed mobile phones. I don't know if there was any information on the mobile device about nearby restaurants/attractions etc like you often find in hotel rooms, but reception could have helped provide this info on request. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast on two mornings and a takeaway breakfast on our checkout morning. The breakfast selection was excellent, with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, cereals, porridge, hot food, pastries, yogurt, hot and cold drinks. Plenty of tables and nice and quiet at 7am! The staff were great at clearing up empty plates, maintaining the breakfast and providing help when necessary. We didn't get a chance to use the small gym or hot tub but they looked nice. Check in and out was easy and the reception desk always had friendly staff to answer any questions. If we visit Reykjavik again we will definitely stay here again!

“Excellent location and hotel”

Location superb- right on the main straight- walking distance to all restaurants, coffee shops, etc and especially great location (3-4 min walk) from Bus Stop 9- where all the tour buses pick up. Hotel was beautiful- bonus complimentary hot tub, sauna and gym. Restaurant next lobby was lovely- and guests get 15% off. Staff were lovely. Another bonus was that we saw the northern lights in the main street on our walk home one evening. Very safe location- cant wait to go back
