Hôtel La Renaissance is located next to Saint-Ferreol Lake, close to the UNESCO listed Montagne Noire in the Midi-Pyrenées. It provides comfortable accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool. Our room was huge! Tiled floors, double sink, separate toilet. All more than we expected. The staff were really helpful, happy and clearly proud of their hotel. Quite rightly. Dinner was delicious.

We were treated so well by Laurent and all the staff at this lovely Hotel, the food was excellent and very good value, we will definitely be visiting again when next in the region or at least 200km nearby, it would be a priority for us to re-visit this lovely Hotel.

“French Basil Fawlty”
I was asked to leave the hotel because the room was untidy and because my dog slept on the third bed in the room! I have never experienced such an absurd situation with a hotel - the solution was simply for the chambermaid not to tidy the room and for them to ask me not to let the dog sleep on the bed. The situation was extremely upsetting for my 14 year old special needs son who had his holiday cut short. I see the manager of this hotel responds to each bad review by badmouthing the reviewer so i expect this to happen:-) However, the room was just ordinarily untidy and his actions were extraordinary. I wondered if he perhaps wanted to resell the room at a more expensive rate as i had booked only a two room one? A very unpleasant and unnecessary experience.
