Beautiful renovated hotel which has been taken back to its original glory! The gardens have been tended and also set in the original 15th-16th century display.

Our stay at this hotel was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their kindness and genuine care. They were always attentive and helpful, yet never intrusive, making us feel completely welcome and relaxed. The hotel itself is a real gem, with a charming and intimate atmosphere full of character. Every detail reflects history and elegance, creating a setting that feels both authentic and refined. The buffet was absolutely amazing: generous, varied, and full of fresh, beautifully presented delicacies. We dined at the restaurant twice, where the amazing Chef, Mr. Pestana, delighted us with original creations that perfectly combined flavor and artistry. An experience absolutely not to be missed!

Our second visit - we just had to come back! This is so much more than a hotel - it's a chateau experience. The staff are excellent - all so enthusiastic and ready to give you the best stay possible. Butler team really chatty and friendly. Room was spacious and contained everything we could have needed. We love the blend of 16th century decor and ambience, with all mod cons. Wonderful. Breakfast was amazing - such fantastic choice and displayed so elegantly, too! Big thanks to the whole team - you all made our stay so special!

great location and ambiance. Breakfast in room a little disappointing - no sugar with coffee and just one cup! Restaurant was very good, but would like to see a wider selection of local wines at sensible prices.

The decor and amazing attention to detail. Lots of antique furnishing. I stepped back in time. The staff also dressed in period costumes. Simply so elegant. The food was amazing and spa treatment was so relaxing. I wanted to be Marie Antoinette for the day: makeup, hair and dresser and photography and they arranged the whole experience so well. Thank you. Will be back to try out the other rooms. Such a tranquil place.

I visited the Loire Valley and stayed in three different hotels, but this one stood out as truly exceptional. While all the places seemed to offer similar standards on the surface, here you can immediately feel the special touch of the wonderful owner, who clearly takes personal care to ensure every tiny detail is just right. Everything is maintained to the highest level — from the fresh, mint-scented steam room to the eucalyptus shower that feels like a true spa experience. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and welcoming, making you feel both pampered and at home. I won’t reveal all the surprises — you simply have to come and experience it for yourself. A heartfelt thank you to the delightful owner for creating such a magical place. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful and truly unique hotel. It felt like stepping 200 years back in time! The entire atmosphere is beautifully preserved in the historicist style — from the hotel's décor, furniture, and tableware to even the staff’s clothing. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was well-equipped and neatly arranged, and the breakfast was excellent. The welcome drink was also a lovely touch.
